NO ONE DARED TALK

The community where my university is located. Yes! The community where my university is located although I have left the school earlier this year and if you ask me nothing will make me want to dwell in that place and make it my permanent residency. NEVER , I stayed in that community for almost five years although hate is a strong word but I don't like the community. A community that if the school I attended is removed the whole community would literally be rendered helpless, during the times my school had their strikes including the national strike (ASUU), everywhere in that community literally became empty, so empty that when you come out to the street and you shout your voice would echo. Now I decide to reside there and when the school goes on strike everyone including shop owners move to the capital city of that state to suffer and die. There was a time when I couldn't go home on a semester break and I suffered, they basically don't have social amenities and there are some area you would go to you have to be a lion to stay in that environment and survive when the school is on break or on strike.

Let me tell a little story, I once had issues and needed to move out of my residence provided by the school which later caught fire, and I went to meet a friend of mine who connected me to her neighbor who has left school but his rent has not expired and I gladly agreed to stay in his house. I cleaned the whole place and washed everything that needed to be washed in that house hoping to move in the next day and early the next day this friend of mine called me and she said I left the house opened, we argued back and forth and I was getting offended because I locked the door myself.

Ok, let me go check this thing out myself and Viola, they moved every single thing in that house down to a necklace and the room rug they only left his certificate. They moved everything down to foodstuffs, gas cylinder etc. Immediately goose pimples overwhelmed me. I was shocked but later told it was a norm and nobody dared talk, this same friend of mine her house was raided twice last month, they took literally everything and left her clothes, took her bed frame and all and you dare not talk 🤷😩. If you give me a house free with my name on the land and the building, I'm not taking because my life is not safe.
In fact it is safe to say I hate that community.
