Home schooling, public school or private schooling...which do you feel is the best and why? Use your own photos.
Every child deserves a quality education.
There are merits and demerits of public school, private school and homeschooling.
Public school:
Here in Nigeria, this are a few reasons I wouldn't advice a child to be enrolled in a public school.
*The high population of kids in a public school is very high, since it's not expensive considering the economy of the country, so many people enroll their kids in a government school in order to meet daily needs. In a class of over a hundred students or pupils with one or two teachers, it's almost impossible for the teachers to know and observe every one of them, talk more of paying attention to the dull ones. This affects children's improvement in studies. Even at the secondary level, it happens the same, or even worse, as the students grow wild and begin to engage in corruptible activities like bullying, fighting, stealing, skipping classes and even joining bad gangs.
*Another thing that is common in public schools is violence and corruption. Mostly at the secondary school level. I have heard few reports of violent behavior in public schools resulting in death and injury of some students. That is a result of carelessness from the teachers and tutors there, since it is sponsored by the government, there's no constant supervision by the government in some of these schools, thereby leading to the non-chalant attitude from the teachers towards the kids. So effective discipline is not issued to the children, leaving them to behave the way they like.
Private school:
*In private school, it is often owned by one person, and it is quite competitive in nature. In a private school, it's more expensive than that of a public school, and the quality of learning gotten there is better than that of a public school. That is because of the constant supervision by the school authorities to ensure that their school comes out best and to convince parents who can afford the fees to enroll their kids in their school. So, with this, the coach the teachers constantly to ensure they give effective learning to the children, otherwise they receive a penalty. This promotes the seriousness in the teachers to try their best in order not to be sacked or penalized by the school authorities. So they make sure the students or pupils in their classes are well taught.
*In private schools, discipline is effective, so students or pupils are controlled, which reduces violent behavior from the children and keeps them focused and well-behaved. Private school is also advisable for parents.
Homeschooling:
However, from my perspective, homeschooling is the best. *Sometimes it can be very expensive, and it requires a trained tutor. In this kind of schooling, the child improves faster as a result of constant attention to that particular child, quality learning, observation of the child's performance, discipline and more. In homeschooling, the population is very small, which enables the tutors to take their time on them.
In conclusion, homeschooling is the best. But if a trained tutor can't be found, it is much better to enroll the child in a private school than a public one.
