Saturday is a special day of the week set aside to join two people who are in love that are ready to become one and I must say it's a very special day for the couples that got married today and it's also an experience to me as well as it's my first time participating as a bridesmaid so let me give you the full details.

The bride getting married is my boss elder sister so my asked me to be one of the bridesmaid so we traveled to kuwale in Delta state for the wedding on Friday evening and on our way going we almost had an accident because of a pothole but with God's intervention we were able to escape it and we got there successful.

Wedding Day

We woke up around 5:00am I the morning by the makeup artist that we should take our bath so she can start our makeup on time then so the bride's own so we won't be late to chruch so I and Eunice quickly rushed to the bathroom so we can have our bath before others start coming. So after taking our bath we got dressed up with our first bridesmaid dress that we will be wearing to chruch then they brought us rice without meat for breakfast.

After having breakfast we have to wait for the bride to finish her makeup before ours and to my surprise I was told that we will pay for our makeup and I don't have much cash with me so I had to beg the makeup artist to do mine for 1500 naira and she did.

After the makeup we called to come out so we can go to Church but u fortunately for me the car couldn't contain me because I was waiting for Eunice to finish tying her head tie so they asked the both of us to wait that the car will come back to pick us but unfortunately it didn't so we had to enter bike to the church around 11:00am and we left the chruch around 2:00pm because they were wasting too much time on everything.

On getting home we were asked to change to our second cloth which is lace for the reception and traditional marriage at the same time, few minutes later my boss said we should first puton our white top and raper that we will use to dance out with the bride as the first tradition because other things will proceed but I refuse to dance because I wasn't informed before hand and I was stressed as well.

After they finished dancing they changed to there lace then we all danced out together again and this time around I really danced a lot because I don't want to be left out. Everyone were amazed because they never knew I can that well and I was like I have not even dance well. When we finally stopped dancing I went inside to relax because a guy was disturbing me outside wanting to know me.

Some minutes later Eunice and I decided to leave so we can head home so when we got to were our boss was dancing outside we asked her to give us direction so we can go home because it's our first time in that community but she refused and was shouting at us instead that we are doing big girl instead of coming out to pick money so we should go and not ask her anything. I got really upset I picked up my bag because I don't want to sleep in that community for another night so Eunice and I both picked up our bags but we couldn't find any public transportation because of the parties going on in that community.

We couldn't find a way out of the community so we asked some guys a way out and they said they will take on their bike to a junction were we can get a bus because they are also going to another community so they took us on their bike and we were four on one bike so when we got to the junction they dropped us and left but unfortunately we couldn't find any bus and the area is lonely which made us affried because we are in the middle of no where.

We because more affried when someone passing on bike asked us to leave that place because it's a dangerous so we don't know if to keep walking or wait at that junction so as were thinking on what to do I called my boyfriend to inform about the situation on ground because if I should call my mom she will be very worried so when I called him he was very angry and decided to call my boss to shout at her for indangering our lives the way she did.

So when we're thinking of what to do we saw one man on bike so we stopped him and ask him if he can take us to our destination and she said we will pay him two thousand naira (2000) but if it were to be a public transportation it will cost us one thousand naira (1000) so I called my boyfriend and he said the man should bring us that he will pay any amount as long as we get home safely so we enter.

Within an hour we are already in my community so when my boyfriend saw me he was happy because I got home safely so after resting for a while I went to the market to get some food stuff so I can cook because I was very hungry and week too. So while I was in the market my boss call came in but I refuse to pick up because I was angry .

Conclusion

Everything we do in life we should always think of what the outcome will be if it's good or bad but in the case of my boss she didn't think of that despite knowing the fact that we are new in that community and it's dangerous as well but thank God we got home safely.
