Last Sunday was a night to remember and it all started couple of weeks ago when my colleagues started planning to give me a treat. It was pending for a long time. One of them blessed with a son, other one got incentive and the third one who left our company, have to give us a treat of his new job. Once again choosing a restaurant with a fantastic deal covering the crave of all of us is a tough job to do and I am the one who takes this responsibility of finalizing the venue to have dinner. Many of Vloggers share their experience of having deals and discounts at many restaurants and by looking at those, I choose one of the restaurant named “Village on Top” offering a wonderful BBQ and Fast food deal. All set to go on Sunday.
Two of my colleagues came to pick me up and together we moved to the restaurant while other two will be joining us at the given location. The bad news was waiting for all of us, the restaurant was closed for renovation for last four days. All four of them staring at me as if I knew it. Well, it is nothing new to me because whatever I think and plan for, nothing goes the same way. I decided to move on to my next suggestion, always have an alternate and contingency plan ready for such situations. We all headed to the “Alvigha” famous for its BBQ platter.
When we reached there, we saw all the staff and customers standing out of the restaurant. We parked the bikes and asked what happened, they said it is closed. When we dig into the reason, they said the first floor caught fire and it is all mess that is why we all are standing outside, although the fire has been controlled but we cannot start dine in at the moment. This was totally unexpected, we all were in a great shock, what’s going on. Once again, all four of them staring at me as if I put the fire on this restaurant. Nevermind, lets move on to Hussainabad street, a famous food street where we will definitely find something to eat.
On our way to Hussainabad, we got separated and the big news was that me and the one with whom I was on the bike, were not carrying any cell phone which means we were unable to get in contact with other three. I thought we will meet up at Hussainabad but we went all the way to the street and half way to that crowded street but didn’t find any of them. Now, at this point, I thought we should go back home whereas the biker colleague said, we both can have dinner together if we didn’t find them. We thought they would be waiting at the turning road to Hussainabad and went back. Luckily, I saw them on the other road and shout their names out loudly. Finally, we all met. It was all happening in one night, it was looking like some movie, fully scripted and going with a plan lol
At last, we were at some place full of food stalls and big restaurants. Now, the issue was finding a suitable place. It was too hot, we were sweating when we were walking on the street. I cannot eat at any stall in such a way, it won’t be fun or cannot enjoy in such environment. We kept on walking and looking for some appropriate restaurant. We went inside one of the restaurant but there was a bad smell at that place and we decided to leave as it will be difficult to eat inside such a restaurant. Just next to that, I saw Nosh restaurant and a person was standing outside the restaurant with menu, promoting their deals and discounts. I just asked him one question, it there is A/C and hows the discount, he said you will definitely like it. We immediately entered that restaurant and went on to first floor. The ambiance and atmosphere was looking nice. We really need this kind of restaurant to have dinner, peaceful place to sit with A/C and clean and tidy.
Nosh Restaurant didn’t disappointed us with its services but the only problem was there was no discount for boys, they were offering 15% discount to families only on account of Mothers day. We took a bit of time in order, discussing the prices of platters and finally, agreed to order individually form the menu. We ordered Green Tikka, Broast, Malai Boti, Bihari Boti and for me, I ordered Smoky Steak Burger as it was looking something new to me. In the meantime, I went on to the manager and asked him to convey the message to the person outside restaurant that discount is for families only, he is giving to everyone and people like us will get mad. He said don’t worry, I have corrected him and we will provide you some discount in the bill. Now, this man makes me happy lol a good manager.
I was happy to see that finally my friends were comfortable by sitting in this restaurant and they forget all the hurdles and issues we faced in reaching to this point. We forgets everything when food arrived. All of the dishes were looking amazing and the taste was amazing too.
Specially, my burger was just outclass. They prepared it with perfection. Broast tasted awesome so we ordered one more Broast. We truly enjoyed our meal out there. Everything was fine.
Now, the bill time but hey what is this? No discount in the bill? I asked the waiter and he said yes, there is no discount so I asked for the manager, he was in the kitchen so asked waiter to call him, he knows what to do with the bill. Manager came, took the bill from my hand, I didn’t said even a single word but he knows what we called him for. Wowow 15% discount on the bill made us crazy. Final bill was of PKR 3600 almost $13 and it was a good deal in the end. Although the start of this night was not as expected but in the end, we had a lot of fun and made it a memorable night.
