It's amazing how a dog can give their unconditional love to their hooman, no matter what their circumstance is. There are some dogs that, even if they are already being beaten or if they are left to starve and will be fed when the owners feel like it, will still patiently wait for their hooman and will wag their tail to show their loyalty and love.

And it breaks my heart whenever that kind of dog or cat is treated badly, like they don't have the right to live with us. I hate that some humans act more like animals than dogs. I really wish all the "hoomans" in the world were as kind as those loving pet owners of the world and would never think of "blending" or "shooting" them.
Anyways, that's why I love dogs, I love their sweetness that comes after being naughty. They can be a handful, sometimes scratching and just snatching things that they shouldn't have, but that's why I love them more. I love to see them just running around. It just makes me happy to see them like that, happy and full of energy.
Meet Chuchuy, she is actually "our" dog, she is what they called "Aspin," a Pilipino term for "Asong Pinoy," or Filipino dog. She is one of those adopted dogs that we have. Mom really loves to adopt dogs when she sees that they are being mistreated. And this cutie here is one of those. Chuchuy still has trauma due to her past experience. She's afraid of things that can be used as weapons to hurt her. When she saw us holding a long stick, she would cry hard like a kid and hide.
She can easily get scared by just a little sound. Even when I jump, she easily gets startled and will run away from me. Seeing her like that, I can't help but pity her. I can't imagine the bad things she experienced from her past owner. We had a hard time too getting her trust, and when we finally got her trust, we were the happiest. Especially me and my mom, who really invested the time for her. Now Chuchuy gets along with us well. She's not fully okay yet, but the good thing here is that she trusts us now.
What I love about Chuchuy is that she is really a sweetheart. She always wags her tail at us and greets us with a happy face full of excitement. With her being like that, it's enough to bring me this fulfillment, like I gained her trust, she gave it to me, and that's a big achievement to me. It's hard because she always has this judgmental face, but everything works out fine in the end. She brings us happiness because of her sweetness. And she's a great listener too, I will just add that. And she also loves to eat.
Chuchuy is not picky eaters, and that's heaven she's not. We didn't have a hard time feeding her. Chuchuy loves to eat bread, and I often feed that to her. She's also an attention seeker, and when we ignore her, she will use her nose to poke our butt. She is that of attention seeker, lol. But only from people she likes, to my Mama and me. She is still afraid of people and will bark at them until she gives up barking. She being like this is what brings us joy, the house is full of laughter because of them.
Chuchuy is really a mood changer, her happiness is also our happiness. It brings great pleasure when she's that cheerful. I am glad dogs and cats exist in the world. They are like a little kid who brightens anyone's life, like ours though not all. A dog is truly a blessing to mankind, a beautiful blessing disguised as a dog.
