Weekends are my favorite days of the week. I always look forward to it because I get to relax and sometimes shut out the world even if it's for a few hours.
But that doesn't mean I don't have any activities for the weekend. In fact there are some things that I only get to do on weekends.
Due to my work schedule, I only do these activities during the weekend.
Getting My Hair Done
This is one activity that I only do on weekends because I don't always have the time to do it on weekdays. It also helps that the salon is not far from my place thereby saving me the stress of commuting back and forth a long distance.
If for any reason I am unable to get my hair done during the weekend, then I have an easy DIY hairdo.
A friend advised me sometime ago to get this Afro Wig which can be worn easily without any assistance. All I need to do is to comb my hair neatly, secure it with a band and attach it to the tip of my hair. Then I’m all done.
I must confess, getting that wig was a good buy as it has helped save my hide for a good number of times.
Drafting A New Pattern For Sewing
I have been trying for a while to find a way to dedicate more time to this activity with no luck.
That's why I always ensure I finish up my sewing during the weekends so as not to have it spill over into the new week. Well, unless it's my clothes, then I make them at my own leisure.
Drafting, Cutting And Sewing Only On Weekends has really been affecting my sewing as I end up taking on less sewing jobs so as to be able to meet up.
I haven't given up though, I am still finding ways to schedule my sewing so I could be able to do some even on weekdays.
Binge A Tv Series/Shows
I have missed those times, I was able to watch movies and Tv series any time, any day. I won't even bother to sleep, especially when the show is a thriller. “The good old days”
Now, with bills to pay and all, sometimes watching movies would be the last thing on my mind which is why I don't have time to watch them on weekdays. But as a movie lover still, I resort to watching movies or shows that are “bingeable”.
Imagine me having to watch shows like Grey's Anatomy, Big Bang Theory etc now from the very beginning, I doubt I would be able to concentrate, let alone enjoy it. That's why I'm glad I had seen them a long time ago.
Watching TV Shows with longer seasons is a No-no for me now. I could only go with shows I can easily binge-watch.
So, these are some of the activities I believe I do only on weekends. Maybe in time, I would be able to find a way to adjust and do them any day of the week. Well, fingers crossed.
