Hello again dear Hiver friends of this community! I’m back after several weeks being not able to join weekend engagement because I had to focus on some stuffs but it’s good to back and join again in this weekend-engagement and share some thoughts on the topics presented by admin @galenkp.
First of all, I want to greet all of you a nice weekend! Hoping you would have a great day ahead 😊. As I go through the topics for today’s weekend-engagement what caught my interest is the topic number three, which is if I think I complain too much and does it block positive forward progress?
It’s been a while since I write something, so as I gather my thoughts about this topic, I did some decluttering on our clothes. In that way I could think properly, I make myself busy first before I can think.
As a mom, complaining was one of the attitudes that I battle with every day. I don’t want to complain because I really feel guilty about it. I’m just a human being after all I can still feel exhaustion after doing all the chores and at the same time taking good care of our children. I also came into a point that I don’t want to do anything anymore because of exhaustion like every day was always the same. There was a time when I can’t take anymore, my emotions exploded and I cried and complain everything to my husband, I said that I think I want to give up and I can’t take it anymore because I’m really exhausted physically and emotionally, but after that realizations hit me hard. I just cried like a kid that was lost in a moment. This is the path that I chose so why I’m complaining right now? After that incident, I apologized to my husband, he understands me somehow and said to me that it’s okay to feel exhausted and take a rest for a while. He also hired someone who can do our laundry just to lessen the chores that I’m doing and also, I could focus on taking good care of our children and managing our business.
Complaining only complicate things, because it doesn’t change anything if we complain and complain about life there could be no positive progress on it. So instead of complaining I accept the mess in everything. Like the mess I faced every day of course that is normal when you have a kid in your house even though you just cleaned-up, about a minute it would become messy again, and I just accepted it.
Complaining only stressed me up. At first it was not easy, but as the day goes by, I could already manage that attitude of mine. When I’m about to complain, I would just take a deep breath go outside for a walk and in that way, I can regain my thoughts again and only think on the positive side. Nature was really a great help if I want to refocus again. Complaining could also turn things into negative because it could result into misunderstanding and a bigger problem in the future.
As I finished decluttering our clothes it made me feel relieved and somehow, I could able to write my thoughts about the topic today, and also my kids are really busy watching but I feel guilty whenever I let them have some screen time. I also choose my first picture because my children always remind me not to complain and just enjoy every moment of my life. The weather is still gloomy but still it's a good day to thank God.
So that is my thoughts about the topic, complaining can only complicate things and doesn’t give any positive forward progress for me. How about you my dear Hiver friends what are your thoughts?
