Hello to all members of this community and weekend lovers! It's been a busy few days for me and only today have I been able to talk about the wonderful event I attended last Saturday: Viva Fest, India edition, which took place at PDVSA La Estancia de Altamira (Caracas-Venezuela). Months ago, I had the opportunity to attend a Japanese Traditional Art Festival held at that same place, so as soon as I found out about this event through social media, I saved it in my calendar.

I admit that I almost didn't go, because I didn't feel like going out or doing anything really. I wanted to stay home, maybe lying down or giving in to the routine. But when I saw on the calendar that the festival was going to take place, I was motivated to go, even if I had a headache at that moment, because I felt that if I continued to hold on to my mood, I couldn't overcome it (and I really wanted to go to the festival). I was a little nervous, I don't know why, maybe it's because thinking about so many people gathered together after being locked up for so long, overwhelmed me a little. However, I remembered the good vibes that are felt in these places and even so, I left home and arrived at the site around noon. Entry to these events is totally free, since it is part of a movement by the embassies to make their cultures known.

Once I entered the space, I was greeted by the pleasant smell of incense and a large number of people around the countless stalls offering different services, such as food sales, items, jewelry, clothing, traditional food and even a massage stand (this was one of my favorites, the line was long and the relaxing massages looked really good 😌). Of course, the typical music was playing in the background and the good spirits of those present made my mood change and I put aside the shyness I felt at first. There was so much to contemplate that I just wanted to focus on it.

One of my favorite things to do was the stalls selling different items of clothing. I had thought about making a traditional Indian costume or something to bring back, but I couldn't. I wanted to buy something for my mother as a souvenir, but there were so many pretty things that, in my indecision, I ended up not taking anything haha. Not to mention that spending money wasn't in my budget 😓 but if I could have, I would have taken a lot of pretty things that I loved, had the massage, and of course, the Mehndi or temporary tattoo made from plants, which you could get done on the second floor. It looked so beautiful!

The sheer variety of beautiful items was truly fascinating, not to mention that throughout the day, there would be various activities taking place, such as dance performances, yoga classes, as well as meditation moments. I would have liked to have arrived earlier and been able to participate in each of the activities, but I was just getting over my discomfort (I still had a slight headache at that point) and being alone, I didn't feel like staying for the entire event either. At least, I was glad I was able to stay for a little while and see the beauties it had to offer.

But don't think that everything ended here. In that place, there was also an incredible art exhibition dedicated to the artist "Jorge Dager", you can come closer and see the beautiful photographs that I took. It was a magnificent experience! Apart from that, it seems that there was also a photography exhibition in another room, but I could barely get close and look at them, since when trying to photograph them, the reflection of the light ruined the shots 😢

Still, I didn't let this discourage me, so I just put my phone away and looked at the pictures. As far as I could understand, the exhibition was themed around "moments", so each picture showed a person, thing or animal, in everyday or picturesque situations. It made me think a lot about those moments of which we only keep a record of what we have in our memories. While I was looking at the pictures, a man who was there asked me to pose and took a picture of me with his phone. He told me that I looked great with my outfit and that made me happy. I didn't ask any further questions 😆 Then, I went to eat my lunch in the garden in the space, where you can have direct contact with different animals, such as chickens, roosters and even peacocks. I felt an immediate peace. I'm so glad I left the house that Saturday, it reminded me how much I like spending time with myself and taking these walks 🤗
