Ever since moving to California over a decade ago, most of my weekends have been full of activities.
During my early years here in the state, weekends meant dedicating time to work a second job at a world-renowned theme park.
Nowadays, weekends would signify a time for rest, relaxation, and comfort.
What better way to do this than indulge in some of the most comfortable, relaxing things in the world - food and coffee!
I didn't realize I was a "brunch guy" until after my lady and I decided to move to the northern part of the state for a job I needed to get my career back on track.
We wanted to explore the area and decided weekends would be a perfect time to do so!
Since then, we would find different restaurants to try out in the city where we lived or neighboring towns that were not too hard to travel to.

A few weeks ago, we decided to visit a local breakfast place in the town we currently live in.
It was owned by an Italian family judging by the other things they serve at the restaurant. Aside from coffee and breakfast sandwiches, they also have a variety of gelato which they serve sometime after lunch.
Unfortunately, the business had to close down. We didn't know it until we got there.
Bummer.
I've only been there once and I liked the breakfast options they offer. My lady and I thought it would be good if we supported local business like that by visiting the place more often.

We didn't want to end our day early and just head home so we looked for other places we can go to.
In a neighboring town just south of where we live, we found another spot. It was only 10 minutes away from where we were.
I guess the saying "when one door closes, another one opens" is also applicable in this case.
We decided to check it out.
We were so glad we did! This family-owned coffee shop was amazing! We ordered our food and coffee, sat indoors, and enjoyed live music.
They also have an outdoor area where you can bring your furry friends to hang out!
Parking was a little tight but in case you couldn't find any, there are some establishments next door with a park lot or use the street parking at a residential area nearby and just walk to the spot.
We arrived at a perfect time, too! Just right before the lunch rush came!

The people that lined up to order as we were halfway through our meal seemed like friends of the owners. They were chatting while in line to order. Their kids were there too, just playing with their dolls and toys as the adults were talking and waiting for their turn to order their food and drinks.
This was a great experience. A perfect spot where you can bring friends and family, too, to enjoy some good food, good vibes, and good company.
We will definitely come again!
