Life is definitely a roller coaster. Sometimes we are on top, seeing the world from above. Happy and with open arms, to receive all the goodness it gives us. But when we are going down and are about to reach the bottom we think that maybe things are not going to turn out well.
The year 2020 was challenging for all of humanity. The pandemic and the economic situation sheltered us. We stopped having steady employment from one day to the next and then the question was, what do I do now, how am I going to make a living, how am I going to pay for my basic needs?
And there I was, a survivor of the year 2020, starting the year 2021 with a terrible economic situation. I was hitting rock bottom and didn't know what to do.
I work for insurance companies and since they are non-core service companies, the volume of business was down.
Even so, I understood that I had to insist on this world, that was what my heart was telling me. Working for insurance companies is my passion, so I took my presentation folder and sent it by email to several insurance companies.
Two days passed and a man with a pleasant voice called me. At first I thought he was the coordinator of the Property & Claims Insurance area. He said, "I like your presentation, I want us to have a meeting".
The next day I was in the office of the insurance company, asking for the man, whom I thought was the coordinator. To my surprise I am taken into a large office and the gentleman sitting at the desk introduces himself. It turns out that the pleasant voice on the other end of the phone was the General Manager of the claims area: Life, Auto and of course Property, my area. In a nutshell I was talking to the "man" making the decision.
Quick to speak as was his suspicion, he began by saying, "I liked your presentation, very original. I wanted the name of your company for mine, but when I went to register it, it was already taken" This man noticed my company because it had the name of the one he wanted for his own: "Alfa & Omega"
Tell me if that is not luck. I joined that insurance company almost a year and a half ago, because my folder was sent at the right time, to the right place and above all, my company had the right name!
