A recent column in Nature discusses how the use of ChatGPT is illustrating the broken grant-application system.
This should be no news. But this is news unless more academicians own up to using GPT for their research work!
Not only are the grant-application system broken, the entire publishing enterprise system is broken.
Now, researchers can quite easily get ChatGPT to improve the writing, which is ironically probably not read by real humans. And the whole cycle continues.
