Although we have no firm date on the end of Rebellion reward cards from what we have been told its probably in the next 3 months, if we assume end of September we have 5 seasons left to pick up any required reward cards. My interest was piqued by a recent article from @gadrian.
My current situation is that I have mostly silver level Archons so I only need silver level rewards (higher would be great, but would mean large investment in Archons), my regular foil deck is just about complete at that level but I thought it would be worth looking at what I’m missing at for the legendary cards and also gold foil to see what it would look like to use glint to purchase gold foil rewards to silver level instead of chest purchases as the 10% bonus in ranked and playing in Gold foil tournaments would be nice.
At Silver(Intermediate) | Regular | Gold |
---|---|---|
Common(5) | 12/12 | 11/12 |
Rare(4) | 12/12 | 1/12 |
Epic(3) | 6/7 | 0/7 |
Legendary(2) | 4/12* | 0/12 |
*0 cc of Warborn Chieftain
Regular foil legendary is the real sticking point, I can pick up the missing cc for the common gold foil and epic regular foil from the market so they can be ignored, it may not be worth trying for the gold foil rare’s this late in the run of reward cards but may be something I consider next time around as the option should be available for the whole run.
First things first I suppose, how much glint do I expect to earn in the next 5 seasons?
I have been averaging about 80,000 glint at end of season so that would be approximately 160,000 glint per season.
160,000 x 5 = 800,000 glint for the next 5 seasons.
With perfect luck we would be looking at 560,000 glint to get all Legendary cards to silver (intermediate) level in regular foil. So definitely possible and even has a few hundred thousand glint to spare for duplicates, in fact get 22 chances so the odds of getting all the required cc from those 22 chances are…
Thanks ChatGPT, not looking as great as I hoped, there is always the option to burn all the excess legendary cards and all the common regular foils to get extra draws but I don’t believe that would amount to many additional draws.
For fun, lets take a look at what perfect luck looks like for gold foil versions at silver level:-
Rarity | Missing CC | Glint |
---|---|---|
Rare Gold Foil | 70 | 1,050,000 |
Epic Gold Foil | 13 | 1,625,000 |
Legendary Gold Foil | 12 | 7,200,000 |
10,925,000 |
Ha, Ha, Ha... Not gonna happen.
In reality I have a silver level reward deck, do I really want to spend 560,000 - 800,000 chasing 16 cc of legendary cards? do they offer enough to the deck?
Are Gallicus getting shield, Warborn Cheiftan getting sheild, Emberguard getting deflect, Sergeant Grauzral getting blast and Syrenth getting dodge enough to go for all the silver level legendary? maybe there are some abilities that add to the deck but I don't think its quite enough, although i may be really missing something...
I think though my better option is going to be opening chests when I need energy and carrying my glint forward until the release of the next set of reward cards, if I get a few cards along the way all the better.
Is this the right approach? I don't know but I don't think chasing those legendries will be as beneficial in the long run.
Am I doing the right thing? what is a better approach?
