It's been over a month since I last posted something on Hive. While I still continued to do my usual Splinterlands stuff (enter Brawls, harvest Land Resources, play a little bit of Modern Ranked), I felt like I needed a break from posting. Aside from being busy with and preoccupied by a lot of real-life events in the past few weeks (workload, holidays, family visiting, meeting up with friends), it felt a bit exhausting to even write about anything.
While I think I can do better with publishing articles and sharing my stories on Hive, playing Splinterlands ranked battles tells a different story. For me, for the time being, at least.
If you're interested to find out, please read on!
For now, let's begin with some Splinterlands Land updates.

Weekly Updates: Routine Harvest
This is more like the update for the month. The last time I provided some news regarding my land earnings was on June 7th, 2025.
I will share images and data of my harvests this past week, and later on, we will discuss everything else I have collected over the course of the past month.

I have yet to discover another totem fragment but I am always hopeful I'll find another one of these days!
I also earned the following from resource swapping:

This week alone, I have earned 44,215 DEC!
As planned, the taxes collected from the Region 46 Keep were converted to Guild Power and were used to power up our Guild's buildings.
The higher the exchange rates of the land resources are, the more DEC I can contribute to build up our Guild!
The typical final step of my Weekly Routine is increasing my position in the Grain-DEC Liquidity Pool.
I now own 1.205% of the pool. Slowly but surely, I will keep growing this position.
Keep 'em comin'!

The Grum's Canyon Experiment: The End Of The Road
We rebooted this experiment over five weeks ago. Our goal was to test whether or not smaller players can earn on Land even with only owning and developing a single plot.
This also proved the possibility of having a sustainable setup even without owning a Grain Plot.
Unfortunately, we have to end our experiment here since our Grum Flameblade rental has been cancelled by the owner.
Let's see how much we have accumulated from the beginning.

We collected 924 Stone every week! Today, we have stockpiled 5,000 Stone!
If we were to sell it all today, we can receive 578.735 DEC for our (Grum's) hard work.
Did we generate a profit after paying for the rental fees?

Per my older post:
I rented Grum on Monday, June 2nd, for 2.352 DEC/day.
Exactly 41 days from Day 1.

There has been a minor discrepancy regarding the DEC/day fee since first renting the card but for our purposes, let's just say 2.35 DEC/day is the fee.
2.35 DEC x 41 Days = 96.35 DEC
Per this POST, we started the experiment with 2,219 Stone. Deducting this amount from our Grand Total, we get:
5,000 Stone - 2,219 Stone = 2,718 Stone. This is the amount our rental worker has collected overall.
Converting this quantity to DEC, we get:

313.605 DEC (net harvest) - 96.35 DEC (rental fees) = 217.255 DEC
You can say it might not be much and might not even be worth your time and effort, but all I am trying to show here is that you can still earn something from a small investment in Land.

Land Earnings: Swapping Resources
Let's talk about my personal progress regarding Land. From June 1st until July 5th,the graph of the price of resources (in DEC terms) is as follows:

Below is a table listing the amount of DEC I have swapped during these five weeks:
Week | Swap 1 | Swap 2 | Swap 3 | Swap 4 | TOTAL |
6/1 - 6/7 | 12,137 DEC | 7,496 DEC | - | - | 19,633 DEC |
6/8 - 6/14 | 7,821 DEC | 4,082 DEC | 5,827 DEC | 8,300 DEC | 26,030 DEC |
6/15 - 6/21 | 22,860 DEC | 7,496 DEC | 10,741 DEC | - | 41,097 DEC |
6/22 - 6/28 | 8,061 DEC | 12,612 DEC | 11,526 DEC | - | 32,199 DEC |
6/29 - 7/5 | 14,690 DEC | 11,580 DEC | 10,154 DEC | - | 36,424 DEC |
I made 155,383 DEC just from Land.
This is passive income.

New Land Assets: Building The Community
Not only did I acquire more land plots for my personal collection, I also made sure I continued to assist members of the TeamPH community accumulate more plots as well.
I am closing in on 100 active plots and 350 total land plots owned!

My current production lineup is as follows. Notice how I have an extra Lab Permit that I am not utilizing. This is because I decided to shut down 1 of my Aura Labs in lieu of a regular worksite.
This move increased my DEC earnings per hour.

Regarding our community, my peers now have more plots than I do in the tract we are continuing to build.
My project has been completed. All the plots I was willing to let go of within this tract are now in the hands of fellow TeamPH members.

What's Next For The Jedo?
I am beginning to enjoy time away from playing ranked battles. I do not play enough anyway to justify how much I have spent or need to spend on newer Modern cards.
I understand more players are having a great time with this new era of Modern. I am happy for these players. I really am. This is a good sign for the game.
For me, though, I think the fire in me to try to play competitively and earn rewards by active means has started to slowly fade away. I have grown weary of trying to keep up with new sets and new cards.
This doesn't mean I am leaving the game! If anything, I plan to further invest into Splinterlands Land.
After I reach my goal of reaching 100 working land plots, I will be in the market to acquire better, high PP workers that I can employ to further increase my land earnings.
I also might start building positions in the other Land Liquidity Pools.
Should I try to keep playing Modern and see if anything changes? Should I sell all my modern cards and use the proceeds to further increase my land assets?
I am still on the fence. Stay tuned.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this article. I hope I was able to provide valuable information and impart some ideas that can help you decide your next steps. I have grown my Splinterlands assets over the years and I plan to keep on building!
