A never ending debate, which environment is better for software development, well, I can already tell you that I do not have a definitive answer to this question but I can give you my point of view, always emphasizing that I do not have the absolute truth and that I am just a programmer who is in a constant learning process. All my life I have been a Windows user, we could say that it is the most common and it is the easiest operating system to use for anyone, there I downloaded my first code compilers and I studied for years without any problem.

El cambio vino a finales de este año pues me percaté de que la mayoría de empresas de desarrollo trabajan utilizando alguna distribución de Linux, así que quise darle una oportunidad a este entorno, específicamente opte por Ubuntu 22.04, investigué y encontré datos realmente interesantes que son todo un plus en el área de desarrollo: Mayor optimización, cuenta con grandes estándares de seguridad que permiten eliminar malwares que puedan afectar a nuestro sistema operativo en gran manera y lo mejor es gratis (al menos la mayoría de Linux), gastar 0 pesos y además tener la posibilidad de acceder al código y trabajar en el es algo de otro mundo. |

Something that I love about using this distribution is how easy it is to customize absolutely everything, in fact I gave myself the task of making it as similar to MAC as I could and I think I succeeded, I'm talking about that there are endless themes to use, I was watching many Ubuntu fans on youtube and it is impressive all you can do. For now I have limited myself to the basics: Change buttons, themes and the location of the menu .... Importantly, I implemented olive green as the main color, I really love this color. It has been complicated to adapt to do everything through the command terminal, but it is not from another world and more nowadays where everything is on the web, and the best thing is that learning to use it is optional because you can install software with compressed files as it happens in Windows... It is not as complex as they have made it look for years, you can believe in me.
Algo que me encanto de usar esta distribución es lo sencillo que es personalizar absolutamente todo, de hecho me di a la tarea de volverla lo más similar a MAC que pude y creo que lo logré, hablo de que existe un sin fin de temas para utilizar, estuve viendo muchos fans de Ubuntu en youtube y es impresionante todo lo que puedes hacer. Por ahora me he limitado a lo básico: Cambiar botones, temas y la ubicación del menú... ¡Importantísimo!, implemente el verde olivo como color principal, de verdad amo este color. Ha sido complicado adaptarme a hacer todo mediante la terminal de comandos, pero no es de otro mundo y más en la actualidad donde todo esta en la web, y lo mejor es que aprender a utilizarla es algo opcional pues puedes instalar softwares con archivos comprimidos tal como pasa en Windows... No es tan complejo como lo han hecho ver por años, ustedes pueden creer en mi. |

What did I do, I installed both environments on my machine, at first I had some complications, I have a ssd and a mechanical disk, and I had organized an environment on each of these, which brought me a series of errors after a few days that really did not solve, I chose to format absolutely everything and install both environments on the solid disk, it worked without any problem and I'm sure it's the best thing I could have done.
Claro, aquí solo habló de que me parece muy bien en cuanto al área de programación y desarrollo, pero definitivamente no para juegos, no quiero complicarme instalando emuladores o virtual box y sin duda seria una victoria en su totalidad para Windows... ¿Qué hice yo?, instale ambos entornos en mi maquina, al principio tuve algunas complicaciones, cuento con un disco ssd y otro mecánico, y había organizado un entorno en cada uno de estos, lo que me trajo una serie de errores al paso de unos días que realmente no solucione, opté por formatear absolutamente todo y instalar ambos entornos en el disco solido, funcionó sin ningún problema y estoy seguro de que es lo mejor que pude haber hecho. |

Now every time I turn on my computer I have a grub menu that allows me to access both systems: Ubuntu for work and Windows for games in my free time, I feel very good, the conclusion of this post is that frankly I could not choose one operating system over another so now I use both and each one adapts to my needs which is in the end what is really important, I think there is no winner here and probably there will never be one.
Ahora cada vez que enciendo mi computadora tengo un menú grub que me permite acceder a ambos sistemas: Ubuntu para trabajo y Windows para juegos en mi tiempo libre, me siento muy bien, la conclusión de este post es que francamente no pude escoger un sistema operativo sobre otro así que ahora uso ambos y cada uno se adapta a mis necesidades que es al final lo realmente importante, yo pienso que aquí no hay un ganador como tal y probablemente no lo habrá nunca. |
