The perspective of life is far deeper than we often think or understand, which is why I encourage people to always open their hearts to learning. Without learning, it's certain we would see life from a limited perspective and it could be the one that may not inspire growth.
After reading @raymondspeaks response to my post, I’ve been reflecting deeply and realized there’s so much to be thankful for, far more than dwelling on lost opportunities. This reflection took me back to my childhood, and I see now how much has changed over the years.
For many of us, life is an uncharted journey. We move forward, pushing through challenges and breaking barriers, even without knowing what the future holds. We celebrate every win and draw lessons from our losses.
But there comes a time when we grow and become too certain of what the future holds, and when it unfolds differently, it can leave us in a tight place. While some people shake off that feeling easily, others carry the guilt. Even if it doesn’t stop their growth, it can prevent them from recognizing or appreciating it.
In my post, I shared a brief story about my academic life, wondering if things would have been different had I listened to the whispers of life. Yet, the outcome would still be uncertain because of life’s unpredictable nature. Pursuing my HND could have led to the life I envisioned, or it could have turned out differently. It dawned on me that, with or without my HND, life might have guided me down the same path I’m on today.
My biggest takeaway from this reflection is that every experience, at every phase of my life, prepared me for the next. The delay in furthering my education happened for a reason, and when the time was right, it happened as if there had never been a delay. In that school, I met the love of my life. It was also where I met the person who introduced me to blogging—not on Hive, initially—and the person who connected me to my first corporate job, where I gained invaluable experience that I now apply to my small business.
My blogging journey began elsewhere, and the incredible people on that platform helped me discover my passion for agriculture. With the support of some amazing individuals, I ventured into fish farming, and the experiences I gathered there also led me to Hive. Farming started with fish, and now I’m gradually including birds—I’m certain it won’t end there. All these connections proves that whether things go as planned or not, every phase of our lives is interconnected.
I’ve concluded that my destination hasn’t changed, but life simply didn’t take me through the planned route. All I ever wanted was to live happily, to see my family happy, and to positively influence the lives of those around me. It’s exciting to realize that this is already happening, and I’m gradually moving closer to my destination but through an uncharted route.
