Every day is always a new day to celebrate life and rejoice. Because whichever day that’s gone in our lives would never show up again. Gone are the days.
We celebrate, we rejoice, we get happy and sad, we make plans, we set goals, we have vision and missions, we have all these things running through our lives and that’s always welcomed. Having dreams and hopes and also praying towards accomplishing them could not be neglected. That’s a good way to start a new day and a new year.
The question here is, how far have you gone? What steps have you taken? Are you showing positivity? Or just stand still? These are questions we should ask ourselves after setting up our goals and making plans too.
MY NEW YEAR RESOLUTION
Every year we make resolutions and we are most times grateful for accomplishing some if not all of those resolutions. There is nothing as good as seeing oneself get through life in the easiest way possible.
There is this common saying on my side of the country: “NEW YEAR NEW SYSTEM”. We have the mindset of change, the mindset of optimism, and positivity toward accomplishing our dreams.
What are my resolutions for the new year ahead of me??
My life has not been as perfect as I wanted it to be. I know human wants to remain constantly unlimited. We continue to crave more every time. It’s natural to humanity. I would always see life from the point of view that, as humans we would always continue to strive for more, even the rich are still hoping to get more.
MORE PRAYERFUL
Prayer is said to be the key to success. I believe I am a title prayerful as my capacity allows me but this year I want to improve in that aspect. I want to see things turn out for me with grace and far better than in the past.
I want to remain steadfast in my prayers and see things turn out for good in my life. It is said that “Work hard like you never knew how to pray, and pray hard like you never knew how to work”. With this, you can channel yourself toward having a prosperous and blissful year.
GROWTH
This would be my next target for the new year ahead of us. I want to set a pace for myself where I can feel free to become better at what I do. And what do I do? I blog most of the time online which is another reason why I am still active here on hive.
I am grateful for all I have gotten from the hive platform and I would say it has helped me a lot from expenses to rents, to bills and feeding. It has also given me the room to expand my knowledge in different areas of gaining knowledge.
I learn while I earn. But this coming year I want to make sure I grow bigger and come out stronger. I know it might not come out to be as easy as anticipated but good things don’t come easy. It comes with a lot of sacrifice along the way.
After growing at the pace of what I do, I want to see myself grow in other aspects of life. I want to get better academically, I would love to see myself bagging a Master's degree in my field of study and proceeding further in life.
One last thing I would always love to do is to see myself doing what I am so passionate about. What am I passionate about? I am an agriculturist and I would love to get myself involved in a lot of the basic aspects of agriculture. I would love to have a farm where I can grow livestock for various purposes. This would also serve as my contribution to societal development. I know all cannot be accomplished at once but the major thing is starting somewhere, so I am making this year that purposeful for me.
FEAR LESS AND LOVE MORE
Fear is one major factor in setbacks and this has been making people lose hope in their lives. We are bound to have fears in us as humans but we must never allow the fear to overshadow our reason for existence and get lost on our targets. I have read a lot of motivational write-ups and what I think is important about fear is that getting up after every fall or failure is the way out.
I am taking this year's resolutions to be a battle with fear and making sure I win. I would also make sure I take love seriously with people around me. The reason is that every new year we are celebrating is a minus to our counts in life. And yeah figuring that out should be a keynote to us that we should love more and more as each day passes by. That fellow you are smiling with today might be no more tomorrow. So why envy and spread hatred?
OPTIMISM
Life must have been so hard in one way or the other. But getting through life at some point would seem discouraging and make one feel like falling backward. I have had ups and downs and even times when I lose hope of what would happen next but the optimistic part of me would always make me keep it going. I am taking this new year as a stepping stone toward having more focus and a positive mindset.
PREPARE FOR DEATH
No one wishes to leave the world so quickly even if we could be granted eternity on earth many would love to stay behind. But we see people leave the world every day and every second. Yeah, that’s life for us. A wise man should know that after every plan they should get prepared for death too. This is because no one knows when it might show up.
I have seen many people set a bucket list for the year and still had to kick the bucket. It’s not something everyone wishes for but it’s something that would come to everyone.
As each day counts and a new year appears I want us to know that we are not getting any younger. Our days are getting numbered as we count forward. I am getting myself prepared for it and it would be among my resolutions for the new year I am about to step into. I never prayed it should be my last.
