One beautiful Saturday afternoon, I brought in my friend to help me make my hair at home, I had just bought Hadassah (my beautiful puppy) because I am a lover of dogs.
Before making my hair, I had already made her food and yes I was ready to make my hair, wherever I go, Hadassah goes, as at then we've been living together for 2 months now.

So I went to the balcony, Hadassah was in the cage but she was crying she wanted to be with me, so out of love for my pet, I uncaged her and she stayed happily with us on the balcony.
The style I wanted to make was a braid which requires I make use of attachment to make the hair. So, you know while making the hair, you know a few strands of the attachment will fall to the ground and eventually some strands fell into her food unknowingly to me.
Hadassah being inexperienced excitedly went to where her food was and ate the food which has now been contaminated as the strands were in it, she ate everything.
Five minutes later, I noticed she was uncomfortable and she was trying to throw up what she had eaten but she couldn't because the hair had already choked her.
She started to make sounds that would attract my attention and then I turned towards her, my Hadassah was choked and depended on me to help her out.
I was so confused and didn't know what to do, when I checked I realized it was the strands of hair that had choked her, immediately I ran into the kitchen and brought out palm oil, mom taught me how powerful palm oil is, it has the power to neutralize whatever and she could throw it up, but this time, palm oil wasn't working.
I started to cry for fear my dog might die, Hadassah's stomach started to bloat and her eyes dimmed, she was gasping for breath.
At this time it was already evening, I immediately called my vet who told me she wasn't around, that she had gone to treat some dogs far away, damn! I started to cry, I was helpless, and there was nothing else I could do, the vet told me to give her some milk, so I ran out of the house to get milk for Hadassah.
A few minutes later, it looked like she was okay, so I was happy before you know it, she started to cry again, she couldn't open her mouth, she was fighting for her life, and she came to lay down on my lap, so I started praying for my dog, it was pretty late at night, I couldn't sleep for fear I might wake up to her corpse by morning, I started to pat her and say things to show I cared for her and how sorry I was.
I couldn't stand the thought of losing my dog, I started to imagine how she might die and leave me all alone, it was terrible.
I was just checking the time for it to be dawn, and immediately it was 6 am, I didn't remember taking my bath, I only brushed my teeth and I carried Hadassah in my hands running down to the vet's, the vet's office was about an hour journey from my house but I didn't mind, though it was Sunday, Hadassah was looking pale already and drooling.
She was staggering so I held her close to me like my newborn baby and we took a trip to the vet, on getting there the vet wasn't already so I started to cry again, I called the Vet and begged her to please show up that it was an emergency though it was Sunday, at that, she told me to come to her house which wasn't far from her office, so I went.
She tried to calm me down that everything will be fine, and that I should still give her milk so that she will have strength, the Vet s
Injected her, and we left for home.
I was just checking up on my beautiful Hadassah from time to time, then the next time I checked she was quiet and looked like she was dead, then I screamed, "Hadassah"!My heart had already skipped, not knowing she was sleeping, immediately she heard my voice, she woke up and she started to play and wag her tail, then I saw where she had thrown up the food and strands of hair that choked her, and I was extremely happy.
From that day on, I was extremely careful about what I do beside her, especially around her food.
I lost pictures of her as my SD card got corrupted but unfortunately, she died years later, she got hit by a vehicle.
