Help me O Mother!
For i feel this scorch around me.
... And Mother Was Helpless
Look! Some strange smell tense my nostrils,
And polluted airs chock my throat.
... And Mother Was Helpless
See large flames Mother
As from those charcoal embers you turn out every night
The flames are rising fine lights I think.
... And Mother Was Helpless
Like everything around,
Mother too seemed to be running,
Never letting me off a second,
Clutching me very close to her bosom.
... And Mother Was Helpless
Why are we running O Mother?
We seem not to have finished our daily tasks,
All around us are now colourful shade of red, blue, orange, and black.
... And Mother Was Helpless
Not giving in to my rants unending ;she ran and ran, but all too soon,
Mother lost her foothold,
We toppled and fell.
... And Mother Was Helpless
She crashed to her back,
That I might get a safe landing,
To tarry a little longer I guess.
... And Mother Was Helpless
This time I felt her unrhythmic pulse,
Watched her bruised, bleeding and baking flesh,
Her scream filled my tender ears,
Her eyes were bloodshot.
... And Mother Was Helpless
Our souls were becoming one,
Our flesh patching together.
Indeed, she bore my pain for i still had time to rant and cry.
... And Mother Was Helpless
Where to mum? I asked,
As we laid like our fine steel put atop blazing coals,
"Home Sweet Home my child "were her last words
... And Mother Was Helpless
Together Mother and I rose to go home,
... And Mother's Remain Was Helpless.
