Sohan is a job holder who always likes to be silent. Because his silent nature gives him a different qualification to his family and his society. He works a job in the noisy life of the city. Where he is quite well settled. Basically, this is how his days are spent.
There is a village next to the city. There is a big house behind the village. Which is basically the house of Sohan's paternal grandfather. But no one lives in the house. Sohan goes there whenever he wants.
His grandfather's death has been many years. He entered the house near the open window in their village. As soon as he entered the house, he removed the cobwebs. Then he saw that there were many old wooden things. Because these furnitures were lying here after his grandfather died. There were many documents left by his grandfather which he had arranged in the cupboard.
He went to the village house that day. He needed a little cupboard. Which he will use to make a new one using his grandfather's cupboard. The cupboard is covered in dust. There is a spider web on top. He took an old cloth and wiped the top of the cupboard well.
He went inside the cupboard and saw that there were many papers that were very old, many stamp papers. There were also some notebooks that belonged to his grandfather. They had turned yellow due to being very old. He saw a small envelope inside the notebook. There was some dust on the top. However, the envelope was still open. When he noticed the top, there was a very beautiful handwriting and there was a line written, "For my beloved Maryam."
His chest trembled a little. It felt like a flower had fallen into his heart. Inside was a white paper with a letter written on it that might have been written with prayer ink. He realized that it was definitely written by his grandfather. He took out his glasses, put on his glasses and opened the letter in his hand.
There were many words written there, "Mariam, since you left me, I have been seeing darkness with my eyes. I understand very well that this cruel society will never let us be together. I don't know if we will ever meet again, but I will be waiting for you. After our studies with our guru were over, we would go under the banyan tree for vacation. I will be there every day. I don't know if you will come, but I am waiting for you."
Sohan seemed to control himself. He sat down in a chair. He had been thinking a lot about his grandfather for so long. His eyes filled with tears. It seemed like there was some regret in his eyes. His grandfather was a helpless and silent person. But Sohan didn't know this about his grandfather's past.
He left the letter with her. He started thinking in his heart who this Mariam was. She might be his grandfather's age. Is she still alive in this world? He became very desperate to save their unfinished love story.
Sohan thought to himself that he would look for that woman. He took the letter and searched in his village to see if there was really someone named Maryam. But the people of the village could not say anything about it. Finally, he saw a small house in a forest in the village. When he went there, he saw an old woman. He entered the house and then Sohan asked the old woman. She told him that Maryam had a very good relationship with her grandfather. They studied together with a guru. But their relationship was never accepted by both their families. Due to which Maryam got married in a place.
The next day Sohan went to that banyan tree. Then he went under that banyan tree. Then he sat there. After a while, he saw that a little old man came. He was very old. Sohan asked him, "Are you Maryam?" The old woman told Sohan how did you know my name?
Sohan then told him about his grandfather's letter. The old woman lowered her head and said, "She felt very bad for her grandfather. Because she got married, she could never leave her family and her child and come to her grandfather. This is very painful."
The old woman said to Sohan, "Your grandfather did a lot for me, but I could not fulfill his wishes. The only reason I came here is because his soul called me here."
Sohan gave the letter to the old woman. Then she started walking and started thinking that love lasts forever. Love is a force that never ends. It stays in the heart of a person throughout his life. May such love remain immortal. This will remain a memory for Sohan's life for life.
