Miranda is a beautiful girl who lives in an enchanted forest, which is hidden in the jungles of the Venezuelan Amazon. She has a huge heart, full of joy, and always has big dreams, which are accompanied by a huge and beautiful smile.
Miranda, lives exploring the forest, and always walks with her great friend Camila, a little osaita frontina, who is very sweet and affectionate. And he loved to see how Miranda and Camila, they took care of each other and loved each other.
—Roman, does your magic horn really get stronger and more powerful, with friendship, love, peace and truth?— Miranda asked, delighted and full of curiosity.
—That's right, Miranda, those positive feelings, they give me energy and give me a lot of strength to be able to protect the enchanted forest and its inhabitants.— Roman replied.
—And do you also protect the rest of the world don those powers? — asked Camila, who was tearing a log to see if she could get honey.
—No, Camila, I can't protect everyone. You know, there is a lot of hate in the world, a lot of evil, a lot of lies and a lot of violence, and those feelings, they give strength to the evil witch of the dark side. She always deceives people and especially innocent children, to try to turn them into liars, rude and violent.
And she is sometimes very strong. That happens when people, and the inhabitants of the forest, let themselves be carried away by those negative feelings.
So, since I can't win, I try to keep the balance.
You and Camila, what are you doing? — he answered and asked Roman.
—I'm looking for honey, while I'm talking to you, to eat and to give to Miranda. — Camila replied.
Roman laughed, made a movement with his head, and from his magic horn, a light came out, which reached a stone, and there appeared, fruits, sweets and honey for Miranda and Camila.
—I have to go, girls. You must promise me that you will be careful in the forest, and you must be careful of the evil witch and her pet, which is a basilisk, that swallows its victims to inoculate them, the bad feelings.
And the only way to overcome it is by holding on with courage and without fear to positive feelings such as truth, peace, friendship and love. — Roman told them before retiring to patrol the forest.
One day, while playing in the forest, Miranda and Camila, saw the entrance of a cave, and in front of the cave, there was a honeycomb full of honey.
—Look, Miranda, there's a lot of honey. I'm going to go tell the bees, give me some honey, for us, but let's go this way, since I don't like how that cave looks. What's more, wait for me here and, while I talk to the bees. —said Camila.
Camila turned around, and passed well away, from the entrance of the cave to talk to the bees. And when he got to talk to the bees, they told him, "Run, little bear, you're in danger." But Camila didn't have a chance to run, because when she turned around, she could only see the huge mouth of the witch's basilisk, jumping on her and swallowing her up in a single movement.
Miranda, seeing that the basilisk had swallowed Camila, ran out to the huge snake, and told him to give her back her little friend. At that moment the wicked witch came out of the cave, and said to her: "If you become a servant of lies, disloyalty and other feelings that I will tell you, under my command, I will release your friend."
Miranda, she was very scared, but she remembered Roman's words, and took courage, and said to the witch, "I will never do it." At that moment, the witch gave the order to the basilisk, and it swallowed Miranda in a single movement.
Miranda, being inside the basilisk, began to call and look for Camila, until she found her. At that moment, both little friends hugged each other, very tightly and full of fear.
—Miranda, I'm really scared, and besides I'm thinking very strange things. — Camila said, scared.
—I know, I'm the same way. But we should not be afraid, we are together and we have each other. Friends forever. — Miranda replied, grabbing Camila's hand.
—How will we get out of here?— Camila asked, scared.
—We have to do what Roman told us, with a lot of strength, with a lot of courage and being together. — Miranda replied.
The basilisk began to send Miranda and Camila negative thoughts, of hatred, anger, disloyalty, which made them think that they should betray each other, and lie to each other, in order to get out, trying to turn them against each other.
Miranda and Camila looked at each other and told each other the thoughts that were coming to them. But for every negative feeling or thought, they held on to a positive thought, and for every lie they came up with they told a truth. And then they started telling each other how much they loved each other and what their friendship meant to them. Taking refuge in beautiful memories, of when they were playing, eating and having fun together.
At that moment, the dark and fetid space inside the basilisk began to fill with light and a pleasant smell began to come out.
—What's the matter, Miranda? — Camilla asked.
—The thing is that the force of love, truth, peace and friendship is stronger than darkness and bad feelings.— said Miranda, very convinced of what she was saying.
At that moment, Miranda and Camila embraced, and the light, which was emitted from where they were, began to fill the entire basilisk inside, causing the huge monster to writhe in fear and pain.
And after several movements of the basilisk's body, it opened its mouth, an enormous light came out of it, which indicated the way out to Miranda and Camila, who came out of the monster's interior together, holding hands.
The basilisk ran out, and full of fear and pain, entered the cave with such force and speed, that he did not see the wicked witch, whom he stumbled, knocking her down in a big mud puddle.
Miranda and Camila, seeing the scene, ended up laughing when they saw the expression of the witch, who at that moment stopped, and entered behind the basilisk into the cave.
They heard a noise, and saw Roman and several of his friends running towards the cave. They were going to rescue Miranda and Camila. But when he saw them, Roman stopped, and looked at them proudly and said, "My sweet little friends are safe."
At that moment, Miranda and Camila hugged Roman and, full of gratitude and joy, told him: "Thanks to your advice, we were able to defeat the basilisk and the witch." And there, when they told Roman and his about their adventure, they promised each other that they would never allow violence, lies and disloyalty to enter their hearts, and they were able to do the same to those present, teaching everyone a lesson about the power of love, truth and peace.

Las guardianas de la amistad. La aventura de Miranda y Camila contra la oscuridad. Cuento infantil.
Miranda es una hermosa niña que vive en un bosque encantado, que está oculto en las selvas del Amazonas venezolano. Ella tiene un corazón enorme, lleno de alegría, y siempre tiene grandes sueños, que están acompañados de una enorme y bella sonrisa.
Miranda, vive explorando el bosque, y siempre anda con su gran amiga Camila, una osaita frontina, que es muy dulce y cariñosa. Ellas se las pasan juntas de arriba a abajo en el bosque, y un día, pasaron por un hermoso jardín, y ahí conocieron a Román, un hermoso unicornio, con su gran cuerno mágico en la cabeza.
Cuando Román las conoció, se hizo amigo de Miranda y Camila, y les dijo que él estaba muy contento de que ellas fueran amiga, ya que él era el guardián del bosque, y la fuerza de su cuerno mágico, se hacía más fuerte y poderosa, cuando en el bosque encantado y en el mundo entero crecían la verdad, la paz, la amistad y el amor. Y a él le encantaba ver cómo Miranda y Camila, se cuidaban y se querían mutuamente.
—¿Román, de veras tu cuerno mágico, se hace más fuerte y poderoso, con la amistad, el amor, la paz y la verdad?—preguntó Miranda, encantada y llena de curiosidad.
—Así es Miranda, esos sentimientos positivos, me dan energía y me dan mucha fuerza para poder proteger al bosque encantado y sus habitantes. —contestó Román.
—¿Y proteges también al resto del mundo don esos poderes? —preguntó Camila, que estaba rasgando un tronco a ver si conseguía miel.
—No Camila, no puedo proteger a todo el mundo. Sabes, en el mundo hay mucho odio, mucha maldad, mucha mentira y mucha violencia, y esos sentimientos, le dan fuerza a la bruja malvada del lado oscuro. Ella siempre engaña a las personas y sobre todo a los niños inocentes, para tratar de convertirlos en mentirosos, groseros y violentos.
Y ella en ocasiones es muy fuerte. Eso pasa cuando la gente y los habitantes del bosque, se dejan llevar por esos sentimientos negativos.
Así, que como no puedo ganar, trato de mantener el equilibrio.
¿Camila y tú qué estás haciendo? —contestó y preguntó Román.
—Estoy buscando miel, mientras hablo contigo, para comer y para darle a Miranda. —contestó Camila.
Román se río, hizo un movimiento con la cabeza, y de su cuerno mágico, salió una luz, que llegó hasta una piedra, y ahí aparecieron, frutas, dulces y miel para Miranda y Camila.
—Debo irme, niñas. Ustedes deben prometerme que tendrán cuidado en el bosque, y deben tener cuidado de la bruja malvada y de su mascota, que es un basilisco, que engulle a sus víctimas para inocularles, los malos sentimientos.
Y la única forma de vencerlo, es aferrándose con valor y sin miedo a los sentimientos positivos como la verdad, la paz, la amistad y el amor. — les dijo Román antes de retirarse a patrullar el bosque.
Un día, mientras jugaban en el bosque, Miranda y Camila, vieron la entrada de una cueva, y al frente de la cueva, había un panal de abejas lleno de miel.
—Mira, Miranda, hay mucha miel. Voy a ir a decirle a las abejas, que me den miel, para nosotras, pero vamos por este lado, ya que no me gusta cómo se ve esa cueva. Es más, espérame aquí y, mientras que yo hablo con las abejas. — dijo Camila.
Camila dio la vuelta, y pasó bien alejada, de la entrada de la cueva para hablar con las abejas. Y cuando llegó a hablar con las abejas, estas le dijeron: "Corre, osita, estás en peligro". Pero Camila, no tuvo oportunidad de correr, ya que al voltearse, solo pudo ver la boca enorme del basilisco de la bruja, brincando sobre ella y engulléndola en un solo movimiento.
Miranda, al ver que el basilisco se había tragado a Camila, salió corriendo hacia la enorme serpiente, y le dijo que le devolviera a su amiguita. En ese momento la bruja malvada salió de la cueva, y le dijo: "Si te haces servidora de la mentira, la deslealtad y otros sentimientos que te diré, bajo mi mando, soltaré a tu amiga".
Miranda, estaba con muchísimo miedo, pero recordó las palabras de Román, y se armó de valor, y le dijo a la bruja: "Jamás lo haré". En ese momento, la bruja le dio la orden al basilisco, y este engulló en un solo movimiento a Miranda.
Miranda, al estar dentro del basilisco, comenzó a llamar y a buscar a Camila, hasta que la encontró. En ese momento, ambas amiguitas se abrazaron, con mucha fuerza y llenas de temor.
—Miranda, tengo mucho miedo, y además estoy pensando cosas muy raras. — dijo Camila, asustada.
—Lo sé, yo estoy igual. Pero no debemos temer, estamos juntas y nos tenemos la una a la otra. Amigas para siempre. — Contestó Miranda agarrando la mano de Camila.
—¿Cómo saldremos de aquí?—preguntó Camila, asustada.
—Hay que hacer lo que nos dijo Román, con mucha fuerza, con mucho valor y estando juntas. — contestó Miranda.
El basilisco empezó a mandar a Miranda y Camila, pensamientos negativos, de odio, rabia, deslealtad, que les hacía pensar que debían traicionarse, y mentirse entre ellas, para poder salir, tratando de ponerlas una contra la otra.
Miranda y Camila se miraron y se contaron los pensamientos que les iban llegando. Pero por cada sentimiento o pensamiento negativo, ellas se aferraban a un pensamiento positivo, y por cada mentira que se les ocurría decían una verdad. Y después, comenzaron a decirse la una a la otra, como se querían y lo que significaba para ellas su amistad. Refugiándose en recuerdos hermosos, de cuando estaban jugando, comiendo y divirtiéndose juntas.
En ese momento, el espacio oscuro y fétido que había dentro del basilisco, comenzó a llenarse de luz y empezó a salir un olor agradable.
—¿Qué sucede, Miranda? —preguntó Camila.
—Lo que pasa es que la fuerza del amor, la verdad, la paz y la amistad, es más fuerte que la oscuridad y que los malos sentimientos. — dijo Miranda muy convencida de lo que decía.
En ese momento, Miranda y Camila se abrazaron, y la luz, que se emitía de donde ellas estaban, empezó a llenar a todo el basilisco por dentro, provocando que el enorme monstruo, se retorciera de miedo y de dolor.
Y después de varios movimientos del cuerpo del basilisco, este abrió la boca, saliendo de ella una enorme luz, que les indicaba el camino para salir a Miranda y Camila, quienes salieron juntas del interior del monstruo, agarradas de la mano.
El basilisco salió corriendo, y lleno de miedo y de dolor, entró a la cueva con tanta fuerza y rapidez, que no vio a la bruja malvada, a la cual tropezó, tumbándola en un gran charco de lodo.
Miranda y Camila, al ver la escena, terminaron riéndose al ver la expresión de la bruja, que en ese momento se paró, y entró detrás del basilisco a la cueva.
Ellas escucharon un ruido, y vieron a Román y a varios de sus amigos corriendo hacia la cueva. Ellos iban a rescatar a Miranda y Camila. Pero al verlas, Román se paró, y las miró orgulloso y dijo: "Mis dulces amiguitas están a salvo".
En ese momento, Miranda y Camila, abrazaron a Román y, llenas de gratitud y alegría, le dijeron: "Gracias a tus consejos, pudimos vencer al basilisco y a la bruja". Y ahí, cuando ellas les contaban a Román y sus su aventura, se prometieron, que jamás permitirían que la violencia, la mentira y la deslealtad, entraran en sus corazones, y le pudieron a los presentes que ellos hicieran lo mismo, enseñándoles a todos una lección sobre el poder del amor, la verdad y la paz.
A partir de ese día, Miranda y Camila se convirtieron, junto a Román, en las guardianas del amor, la verdad, la lealtad y la paz. Y siempre le recordaban a la gente, que esos sentimientos y esas actitudes, siempre brillarían ante cualquier oscuridad, dando así la paz y la armonía para el bosque encantado y para el mundo.
