In a tropical region in the east of a country, where there is a lot of vegetation, in a greenhouse many ornamental plants are cultivated, which constitute a food supply for butterflies, which take their nectar from the flowers, contributing to their pollination. In addition, in this greenhouse there is a staff in charge of the care and maintenance of these plants, flowers and butterflies. Among this staff is a young woman named Rosainés, she has a very special peculiarity, she dominates the language of these insects. She is in charge of preventing them from escaping from the greenhouse. She also organized them, assigning each one a noble rank: one was the Queen, the Monarch, the Duchess, and the others made up the rest of the court. In this way he had them coerced, to prevent their escape.
The designation of the Monarch, within that organization, honors her species, she is the most intelligent, she has leadership qualities, she commands the others. Emotionally, she feels very bad, she wants to escape from that greenhouse with her other companions; to be free and flutter through all the bushes, moving freely from one place to another.
One day they made a plan to escape, but the attempt failed. A scarecrow, from where he was hanging, watched and listened as they organized and planned their escape. When the watchman passed distant from him, he called her "Rosainés, listen to what I am going to tell you", revealing in this way the whole plan of the Monarch, together with the rest of her court.
Rosainés called the Monarch and spoke to her: "If you continue with this attitude, I will demote you". She replied, "I don't care what reprisals you take against me and my companions, we are tired of this place. As soon as Rosainés left. She flew to tell her companions what had happened. She added "here, among us there is a gossip who betrayed us". She gave them a warning: "Don't let me find out who did it, because I will punish you". They all answered in chorus: "We did not do it, we swear it. Then they retired to rest with their wings folded to their bodies.
The next day they began their work. There was no longer between them, that love they professed for each other, what there was was distrust. At nightfall, instead of going to rest, they met clandestinely in another place, to re-launch new strategies for the escape. The scarecrow was very distant from the meeting, he could not hear or see the crowd.
In the morning Rosainés arrived and greeted him: "Good morning, how did you wake up? He answered: "fine". She asked him, "Was there any news regarding the Monarch and her companions?" He answered very excited, "No! She continued on her way past the Monarch and the others, she did not look at them, nor did she greet them.
A week went by like this. Every day the desire to escape increased among those butterflies, like the waters of a rising river. They were ready to take anything in front of them, in order to achieve their goal. They decided to look for a chisel and at night, some of them took it in their paws and others took the hammer between theirs, little by little they were opening an opening in the roof of the greenhouse. Several nights passed in this way, until they managed to complete the escape route.
When Rosainés arrived, who still continued to be angry with them, they winked at each other, as a sign that they should remain silent. The escape was planned for that night. That day they had to have nerves of steel and a calm head to coordinate everything that was planned. In the afternoon the watcher went home.
At last the long awaited night arrived, it was the precise moment for all of us to escape. The Monarch gave the guidelines, first the court would leave, then the Queen, and lastly, me. When the Monarch was about to leave, she heard someone crying. "She turned a little scared, her legs, wings and antennae trembled, she thought she had been discovered, her soul returned to her body when she realized it was the frightening bird calling her "please, come here, I want to confess something to you".
She approached him slowly, and he added, "I was the one who told on you, the first time you planned to escape. Forgive me and extend this forgiveness to the others. I did it because I didn't want to be left alone. I realized too late that it was impossible for me to escape, that I had no wings to fly!" The Monarch said to him: "I forgive you in the name of all my companions, and I admire your courage because you had the courage to communicate it to me. With her antennae, she brushed her cheeks, in symbol of a farewell kiss, and flew away, escaping through the same place as the others.
Rejoining outside the greenhouse with her companions, who were waiting for her, she resumed her flight, singing a song of freedom:
We are free!
From the greenhouse we escape!
To our environments!
We made it!
Long live freedom! Long live freedom!
