When I visited Aunt Martha’s house this evening, I saw a few small toys in funny shapes on the shelf in her sitting room. For a long time, elves were a popular subject in fiction. Even prominent writers like William Shakespeare mentioned them in his play “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”.
I kept reading and searching and found yet another reference in another fantasy novel by J. R. R. Tolkien. Perhaps Tolkien described these magical creatures in the most authentic way possible, about how the elves’ work for Santa Claus at the North Pole.
Like fairies, male elves came in all shapes and sizes, looking like little old men, but female elves were all young and beautiful. After reading so much about them, they even tempted me to go find them in forests and hollowed tree trunks.
Now I have a firm belief that I will get a job with the help of these little jolly creatures. I don’t know why, but my heart and mind are full of joy and hope now
