When I saw this news, I couldn’t believe it. I said to myself, this is too dark, too wicked — but this is the kind of world we live in.
Animals are innocent. They don’t talk, they don’t fight back, they just feel pain. So when I heard about what happened in Bulgaria, I felt sick.
They said a man and a woman were arrested for torturing animals — not just hurting them, but filming it, making videos, and selling them online to people who actually request it. Cats, rabbits, pigs, even fish. I asked myself, what kind of person finds joy in watching suffering like that?
This is more than just animal cruelty. This is pure evil. It’s not something accidental or out of ignorance — this was planned, recorded, and sold. And it’s not just one country. The videos were sent around the world. People were paying money to watch innocent animals die.
What broke me most was when I read that these people might only get a fine. A fine? For murdering living beings in cold blood — for turning pain into entertainment? That’s when I knew, justice is not always justice.
People in Bulgaria are protesting. They want real punishment, not a slap on the wrist. And I support them. We need to raise our voices louder. Because if we stay silent, we are part of the problem.
Sometimes I ask myself, where did humanity go? When did we lose our hearts? Animals trust us — and some people use that trust to destroy them.
I’m not perfect. But I know this: cruelty must never be normal. Torture must never be entertainment. And silence must never be our response.
