Here you can see crabs in the giant stones, which according to research are in the process of extinction, by the dent made by pollution. Therefore we must continue to raise awareness to maintain this habitat, for the enjoyment of tourists, bathers and researchers from different universities in eastern Venezuela, and educational institutions for children and adolescents.
It is necessary to propose a scenario, through a project to recover the boulevard, or the entire coastal strip, as it is now called. Also known by the Perimetral Avenue, and lately renamed Cacique Maragüey. A project to diversify culture and tourism, especially adventure tourism. In order to give greater protection to the environment, it is proposed that it be with an artisanal approach, that is to say, as less invasive as possible.

Especialmente este post va referido a las playas de Caigüire, como se aprecia en la fotografía, dichas playas están llenas de escombros y piedras grandes. Esto debido a una mala decisión por el gobierno de turno hace más de 50 años. La justificación para llenar toda la Bahía de piedras y escombros fue que el mar en tiempos de mucho viento sobrepasaba la acera. Y de alguna manera producía destrozos en las viviendas cercanas.
Sin embargo pudo haberse hecho de otra manera, por cuanto esta playa antes de que ocurriera ese gran daño era de arenas blancas, cristalinas y con la posibilidad de desarrollar un complejo turístico a gran escala, que comprendía hoteles y todo un aparataje para reactivar en una manera hermosa el turismo en nuestra ciudad.
Hoy día como se aprecia en la fotografía se ve una playa en mal estado, sin embargo, podemos apreciar que luego de haber cerrado la mayoría de las empresas enlatadoras, su recuperación ha sido fantástica. Incluso la pesca ha mejorado, para todas la familias que de ella dependen.
Aquí se pueden ver cangrejos en las piedras gigantes, que de acuerdo a investigaciones realizadas están en proceso de extinción, por la mella que le hecho la contaminación. Por ello debemos seguir despertando la conciencia para mantener este hábitat, para disfrute de turistas, bañistas e investigadores de las diferentes universidades del oriente venezolano, e instituciones educativas de niños y adolescentes.
Se hace necesario proponer un escenario, a través de un proyecto para recuperar el boulevard, o toda la cinta costera, como ahora se llama. También conocido por la avenida Perimetral, y últimamente renombrada Cacique Maragüey. Un proyecto que diversifique la cultura y el turismo, sobretodo ese turismo de aventura. Para darle mayor protección al medio ambiente se propone que sea con un enfoque artesanal, o sea lo menos invasivo posible.
