The weekend is for riding

I am so glad that today is Saturday and that I was able to go out riding. I have taken it out a few times today and probably ridden about 8 miles total for the day. I am still building up the strength in my feet to be able to ride longer distances.

I am finding so many different little walking paths in my neighborhood to take the OneWheel on and I am getting a lot more comfortable on it. I think as I am riding, I average about 15 mph and I feel like it could go faster, but I don't want to chance a nosedive.
One of the things I am getting better at is going uphill. You have to find the perfect speed and balance as you are going uphill so you don't push it too hard too fast or else it will nosedive if the hill is too steep.
I put this video together using the GoPro app. I finally took the GoPro out with the stick mounting so I can get some better angles of my ride. I had more footage than this, but when I mounted the GoPro on my helmet, I aimed it down too far, so the video is nothing but the sidewalks. I did take a pretty fun spill on it while I was riding it through the grass field though, but that isn't in this video.
I was surprised how easily the OneWheel went through the grass, but I hit a pretty deep hole and that is what caused me to fall. I hope that you enjoyed the video. I am looking forward to making more of them. The GoPro app cuts it all and gets it all ready, the only downside is that it is pretty short.
Anyways, the sun is getting ready to set, so I think I am going to take a sunset ride.
