It was a hot day, and I had just returned to Vlad's house from spending a week at my own apartment. I wasn't planning on skating but when you hang out with vlad you have to learn to flow with his ability to never plan ahead. Its a fun way to live and to be a traveler.
@alexandrefeliz and @boeltermc drove to vlads separately, Feliz to pick up a painting from me, and Boelter, because he lives pretty close to both vlad and the Snakeside DIY.
I knew about the Snakeside DIY before today because I went on a session with one of Vlads friends, just me and him. His name was Zero. We jammed in Vlads room and it was super fun. I think he said he was 40 years old. Our session was sick too bad nothing was filmed but sometimes thats the best way to have a rad time.
Zero is one of the brazilians i met that i really wish i knew some Portuguese to talk to.
Zero skates super good and hes a @crowsnight dude. Him and I basically just had a soul session at Praca XV where we shredded and didnt film anything. Vlad was supposed to meet us at the session but he got stuck coding something and never showed up.
Anyways, the reason I bring up this session is because before we hit Praca XV Zero brought me to snakeside just to show me..
Super sick spot. a coping-less bowl that they added stuff too around the perimeter of. Super fun because you could cruise the exterior of the bowl hitting stuff and then dive for a snakerun to end your line. The ground was really smooth here too.
There is a lot of history to this spot and you can look at vlads instagram for old photos of him wallriding oververt walls and stuff here.
It was interesting how they attached a piece of coping to the lip of this ramp. I have never seem this done before and it worked well and was fun to slash.
back to the session at hand
We drove two cars to snakeside and got out and started skating.
Vlad, having skated this spot for over 10 years, immediately knew which ramps were the most fun and learned a new trick.

I enjoyed just slashing around the mini quarterpipes with waxed pool coping.
I was saving my energy for the flatbar with the grass gap.

I tried going up the rail but the ground was kinda too shitty and i eventually gave up. i really wanted to KF back 5050 this rail.
The weird thing about this session is that it was the night that we took the bus 6 hours to Sao Paulo.
Its crazy looking back and writing these posts because so much stuff happens in one day sometimes.
Boelter was on the session and got a sick wallie indy grab at the very end.
Afterwards we got Acai and headed home to back our bags.
It was kind of a going-away session for me from Rio. After tonight, We were going to Sao Paulo and then, back to the United states.
The bus was cool because we bought first class tickets which was only like $40 and the seats reclined all the way back and you could sleep.
Our ride was at 2AM so we slept on the bus and woke up in Sao Paulo.
here is the edit from snakeside.
