Hello dear Gods Unchained community, how are you? I hope so.
Once again we are gathered here to talk about this exciting game, and in today's post, continuing my last posts, I will close the trilogy of posts about creature skills, having dealt in the first post, which can be checked here, with Roar, Afterlife and Frontline, and in the second post, which can be checked here, with Blitz, Regeneration, Backline and Flank.
In today's post I will deal with other creature abilities that, although not as common as the ones in the other posts, are also very useful for the battlefield and will certainly surprise your opponent when well used.
We will detail these abilities, explain their effects, and also see when they can and should be used to surprise the opponent. And here we go.
This ability has as effect what its name says, that is, the card with the Hidden ability will be hidden, usually for one round, not being possible to attack it while it is under the ability's effect.
This card is very interesting, because on the next turn when you put the hidden card on the battlefield it can't be attacked directly by another creature, and on the next round you will be able to use this card to damage your opponents.
But on the other hand, we can't forget that the card with the hidden effect can suffer damage from spells and abilities, so the hidden effect only works to avoid direct attack from creatures.
Sometimes I have used creatures with Hidden to give the "fatal blow" to the opponent's God, because if he doesn't have a frontline card on the battlefield, which would prevent my attack to his God in the next turn, or he can't defeat my creature with spells or skills, the damage will certainly be done to his God.
Protected is really very interesting and has the effect, in short, of preventing the creature affected with protected from taking damage from the first attack that affects it.
This is actually a protective "shield" for the creature, because even though it doesn't suffer damage from the first attack, the creature will cause damage to the opposing creature that attacks it.
When the opponent inserts a card with protection on the battlefield I always try to attack it with a card with 1 damage and 1 strength, in other words, a very weak card, because even if I use a card with high damage it won't make any difference on the battlefield.
On the side we have a card with the protected ability that I use in my nature deck, it is an amazing creature with a status of 10/12, which makes it very strong and, in addition, it still has the protectec ability. Many opponents sometimes don't notice this ability and attack with strong cards that are defeated by the card's 10 damage and don't even cause damage.
This card is great and when inserted on the battlefield, which usually happens in a longer battle, it is capable of causing a turnaround in the battle.
In my opinion one of the most powerful abilities in the game, the effect of this ability is to simply defeat the opposing card for any and all damage dealt by the creature affected with Deadly, regardless of the amount of damage.
In other words, even if the creature has 10 life, as in the case of Helian Elite above, only 1 damage dealt by a creature with Deadly will defeat it, which makes this ability so powerful.
What makes it even more amazing is that creatures not so expensive in mana cost, such as the Poison Peddler shown next to it, can be inserted into the battlefield and thus these creatures will defeat other creatures that the opponent has dispensed a high mana value.
When used well these creatures can have a devastating effect on the battlefield and the outcome of the battle.
This is an ability that causes, besides the damage proportional to the attacking creature's strenght, additional damage to opposing creatures that are attacked by creatures with this ability.
The creature, once affected by the burn effect, will suffer damage at the end of every round of its God regardless of whether it will suffer other attacks.
Explaining: The creature next to it, for example, will cause in the attack round 2 damage proportional to its strenght and, at the end of the round, 1 more damage to the opposing creature. In the following rounds, regardless of not attacking the same creature, 1 damage will be caused to the opposing creature by the burn effect.
It is important to say that the burn effect occurs at the end of the round and before the regen effect that the card has, i.e. if the card is with 1 life, affected by burn and with 1 regen, it will be defeated.
Well friends, in this post I dealt with 4 more great abilities available for the creatures of Gods Unchained and that should be well understood for better use on the battlefield.
This is the third post I've done about creatures' abilities, having treated a total of 11 abilities in these 3 posts, which shows a vast and ample material for study, in which I tried to explain in a detailed way these abilities, their effects and when I usually use them.
After dedicating myself to write these posts I started to understand the skills much better and I am sure that this helped me a lot in the dynamics of the game, even increasing my winning average.
This is what makes Gods Unchained exciting, because many times those who have the best cards do not always take the victory on the battlefield, and it is very important, in addition to building a good deck, to decide the right time to use the creatures.
I hope to have been able to contribute to the learning of all, being available to exchange ideas and game strategies, leave your comments below.
Thank you for reading.
