Hello guys π€, thanks for checking out my post. Sooo, what is this about ? I just got a twitter notification from God's Unchained development team stating that they are working on making it possible to fuse higher shine cards in the forge. Here is a little screenshot:
Anyway why is this important you ask? Well this means that we can have all our core cards in better shine than meteorite. Now why and how would you to get your cards in better shine ?
First the HOW:
This is the table we are looking at, its safe to assume that when you mint to a higher quality than meteorite it would still consume flux and $gods. Just as a example lets look at fusing a Bladefly(common card) into a diamond shine Bladefly. You would need 125 meteorite Bladeflyes to fuse all Shadow Bladeflys. You need 25 shadow to fuse all gold Bladefly. 5 gold to fuse a SINGLE diamond Bladefly π. Now to fuse a common card you need 0.1 gods and 20 flux. Soo you need 125 meteorite bladeflyes which is 12,5 gods + 2500 flux, to shadow 2.5 gods + 500flux, to gold 0.5 gods + 100 flux + 0.1 + 20 flux for diamond.
In total: 15.6 gods / 3120 flux
The current price of gods is around 5,5$ could be a lot more or less when they do give us the option, but as of now the BOTTOM price would be 86$ for a diamond bladefly, assuming the time you spent for the flux is worth nothing. Now this could be a lot more depending on how annoying is would be to fuse cards, they could make us fuse higher shine individually, which would be an absolute pain in the a$$ and also increase the price.
Then the WHY:
Now why would you want a diamond Bladefly ? Well look at it π€
Who wouldn't pay 80$ + for this beauty. Yeah I wouldn't either ππ, but there are some crazy people that would want to fuse them to that shine quality and YOU, yes πYOUπ a not crazy person can take advantage of this madness and sell shadow shine meta cards to whales that want all the core cards in their decks in diamond shine.
GET THOSE CRAZY DIAMONDS !!!
Then again there could be some reasoning to it. In the discord chat of gods there was a mention that in the future, after the "Blessing of the Gods event" ends we would get $gods token in different ways, one of which would be through playing higher shine cards in our decks. The more the shine the more the yield per game. So maybe there is a strategy to it. It all depends on the timing of the devs. They could release the new system immediately after the "blessing" or sometime later. They are also yet to allow us to stake our tokens, soo this will without a doubt increase the price of the token, which in turn would increase the bottom price of core cards, which would make it more expensive to fuse higher tier cards. What I mean by that, they could allow higher shine fusing before staking, this would make it cheaper to fuse before the staking, and more expensive after. So this would mean you could get your higher shine cards for cheaper before everyone else realizes the VALUE of the higher shine cards in the future.
Well that's a lot of wordsππ, hopefully I made it through. Now should you buy meta core cards before they release the new system ? I'm not a financial advisor and you should do your own research, but as a fellow player of Gods Unchained I'd say it is a pretty good idea. Then again I could be wrong, it's a gamble as everything else in life, luck favors the brave. π€π€
