Interested in Gods Unchained, but not sure where to start?
The P2E (play to earn) game, Led by lead developer Chris Clay, that's been catching a lot of hype recently on the blockchain scene?
Well if you're a Casual Gamer like myself or want to get a friend started on this, but don't have the time to walk them through the whole process, this is the guide for you
If you just want to start out and just test and enjoy to game before putting a ring on it and delving into that oh so deep meta rabbit hole.
What is Gods Unchained?
Gods Unchained is a online turn-based PVP trading card game, where players play against each other in 1v1 online matches with personalized decks of NFT trading cards.
In layman's term it's an online card game heavily based on strategy.
More on the whole NFT and Play to earn stuff ....never.
This is a casual gamer's guide.
What you need and what I used to get started
Disclaimer: there are prolly better or other options our there, but this is my personal setup and if it isn't broken... don't fix it
So let's get to it then.
- Brave Browser Brave Browser link here
works pretty much like Chrome Browser. I'd like to keep things neat and separated from Chrome. Especially if you are sharing your machine with other people in the same house.
- Metamask Wallet Metamask link here
You'll need an online wallet to be able to connect to Immutable and receive rewards and such from the game. This one works fine
Go ahead and set that up.
TIP : It's VERY important you keep your recovery data safe.
TIP2: Be sure to memorize the first few digits of your wallet address

Now if you have both of those setup, be sure to add the Metamask extension to your brave browser (or chrome if you feel like living on the edge) for easier use and access
Great Now we got what we need to actually download and play the game now.
Gods unchained
Let's head over to the Gods Unchained website Here
Proceed To sign up for an account and download the Immutable launcher.
After your download is complete Launch .....the launcher immutable
You'll be brought to the Log in screen which looks like this
After logging in you'll have your immutable layout :

From here, be sure to hover over to the top right and click your cute rat icon for a menu to connect your wallet, in this case your metamask wallet you setup up earlier.
And that's that. you're MOSTLY setup up on your new adventure.
Don't worry about playing decks, the game provide starter deck customized for fresh players.
Just go in have fun and test out the mechanics.
Head on over to "Arena" to the top left to start playing matches
Options for matches are
"Direct challenge":
If you wish to play a friend in a private match or want to test out new decks against them, this does not influence your ranking so go crazy, Experiment!
On the right you'll have 3 options: Ranked. Solo or Tutorial
Ranked of course being the bread and butter of the whole game.
