IMXTools.net welcomes you to the NFT trading card game that started it all!
We would like to give you a good onboarding experience, as some of you might be new to crypto/NFTs and have a hard time understanding how it works.
In general, the game is Free2Play. As a new player you receive the “Welcome” set cards (2 copies of each) that you can play with. The set symbol is shown in the right upper corner of the card. Further information on sets and cards is available here.
In the course of time, you will be able to gather plain “Core” cards by just upleveling and opening “Core” packs. Those cards can be fused in the “Forge” to higher qualities (e.g 2 plain cards → 1 Meteorite card). “Welcome” cards can neither be fused nor traded on the marketplace. Here you find further info on how to play the game.
Meteorite cards are the least quality cards that can be traded on marketplaces. The quality of a card defines its value. Higher card qualities signal higher prices and more rewards in the “Daily Play&Earn” event. Furthermore, the Weekend Ranked event is a good opportunity to win some latest expansion packs. At the moment the Mortal Judgement expansion cards (including Light’s Verdict cards) are distributed to you depending on how successful you were in the Weekend Ranked event.
In order to sell (respectively trade) cards you need to do some prework. The following steps are necessary and are further described on the official Gods Unchained support website.
- Install MetaMask
- Create a MetaMask wallet
- Connect your wallet to Gods Unchained
- Link your wallet to Immutable X
- Set a default wallet
Once this is done, sell your Meteorite cards on IMXTools.net by entering your Inventory→Owned, search for e.g. card “Blight Bomb”, click on “Sell / Change” (hovering over the card) and set the selling price.
There are many options for selling cards, but the most convenient in this case is (1) “Sell cards: 1”, (2) set the sell price to the current floor price by clicking on the “set” button of the currency you would like to sell the card, (3) check and adjust the sell price and click submit.
Ensure that you are logged in and connected to IMXTools.net with your MetaMask Wallet. The Immutable X pop up asks you to confirm the sell order. Note that the price was adjusted to 0,000287 ETH for this showcase. Afterwards, MetaMask requests for two signatures and then the sell order is active and listed.
Over time, you might see cards that your opponent plays that are not part of the “Core” or "Welcome" set and therefore cannot be retrieve and owned by upleveling only. These cards are from earlier expansion sets and are traded at marketplaces in different currencies such as GODS, ETH and IMX. With the introduction of “Daily Play&Earn” you are able to earn GODS tokens on a daily basis. If you want to upgrade your deck with better cards, you can buy cards with your GODS Tokens at IMXTools.net. Head to Marketplace→General and search for e.g. Guild Enforcer. Guild Enforcers in every quality (Meteorite, Shadow, Gold, Diamond) are listed with their current floor prices in the currencies ETH, GODS and IMX. Enter the detailed card section by clicking on the card with the quality that you would like to have a look at.
The card detail view shows basic stats in the upper left corner and detailed analytical stats like historical floor prices, market capitalization, supply and the card owner distribution in the lower left corner. If you decide to buy the card click on the “Price” drop down and choose the currencies you are interested in e.g. GODS. GODS sell offers are listed. Clicking on “Buy” brings you to the Immutable confirmation pop-up.
You might notice that some cards are cheaper in other currencies than GODS (usually ETH). In this case, you would need to deposit e.g. ETH, IMX or USDC on your Immutable X Layer 2 (L2). There are two ways to achieve it:
- Easiest way is to use MoonPay to directly deposit FIAT from your bank account to your Immutable X Layer 2 Wallet.
- A bit more effort and complicated is to deposit crypto from Layer 1 (L1 - Ethereum mainnet). There are various ways to get crypto on L1. One is to deposit FIAT from your bank account to any crypto exchange, buy e.g. ETH on the exchange and transfer it to your MetaMask L1 wallet. Once it has arrived there, you can deposit it on Layer 2 via the “Deposit crypto” button.
Usually, it takes a short moment until the balance is updated and you can start buying cards with your deposited crypto. Which one of the mentioned two options is cheaper? It depends on Layer 1 gas fees. Using MoonPay is the more convenient way and a good solution for low amounts.
