Introduction
I did cover a bit of Dread Awakening last week. I shared my thoughts on the cards that I wanted to own. I actually bought some packs this time around just to give it a shot. Who knows I might pull a diamond legendary or a mythic card. I also will cover a dread nature deck I modified from @afterglow 's deck code from his most recent post.
Results From Pack Opening
Welp these are the results from my pack opening. I actually spent around $180 dollars on packs this time around which was money I had from selling Cross The Ages stuff since I didn't like the direction they were heading. The best pull I got was a shadow epic called "Guardian of the Pines". It's a pretty sad opening because I think I got near 75 dollars worth of cards for the 180. Some of these cards here I bought off the market as well for the dread nature deck. I had to buy 2 dread deer, 1 regression, 1 lash out and 2 crawling madness. After this sad opening, I don't think I will buy more packs in the future. In the past, the epic packs were set around 6-8 dollars but now they are like at 15 bucks. I feel it's not worth it anymore.

Honestly, this is a similar deck to Afterglow. I just changed out two cards for Chiron and Dagan. I thought Chiron would be good because it's one less mana than Iron-tooth goblin so I could buff a friendly unit, -1 relic from opponent and then dreadtouch it on the same turn. I also like Dagan because there's a lot of regen in this deck and this card can solo win the game sometimes because of the ability.
This is a good aggro deck. It focuses on getting board control and snowballing from there. Even moonlight charm might be slow but there's cards like lash out and cornered howler that would help close any creature gap after playing moonlight charm. There's great cards to trade with like Underbrush Boar, Crawling Madness, Dread Deer and Vanguard Axewoman. I also like teching in the regression as the transform can come in handy against certain decks.
Battle Results + Conclusion
I only played three games with this deck. The first battle I lost super hard. This guy was playing a death deck that brought back cards from the void. He had such a great opener of this 1 mana card called badluck that sends the top 2 cards to the void. He followed it up with Pallbearer. I also saw later he had a 9 mana Tyet with raise the dead so he was probably trying to badluck this card into the void and then summon it on turn 5 with raise the dead which would be super hard to beat.
The second deck I played against was an amazon nature deck. The amazon nature deck wasn't able to keep up with my pace. I was able to clear his whole board and he just surrendered because amazon's need momentum and board control to snowball. It's pretty much their win condition.
Lastly, I played a relic deck. Honestly, this relic deck was unlucky because i had both the iron tooth goblin and chiron in my hand in the early game. After I removed his relic, he resigned so fast.
In conclusion, I don't think I will be buying packs anymore. I also want to test this dreadtouch nature deck for weekend ranked so let's see how that goes.
