So last time I did a post asking feedback from the lovely Gods Unchained community I got some really fantastic feedback. So today I am going to ask you another question. Do you feel like being able to listen and be able to comprehend either what you read. hear, or perhaps watch on a stream is important. And do you feel like being able to follow rules is important. Now when it comes to following rules it can be tournament rules or rules a streamer may have to enter a card giveaway they have running in their stream. I am also sure there are other situations where following rules will be applicable.
For me the answer is yes to all of the questions I asked you above. So let me go into more detail for you. I feel like if you are watching a stream and the streamer is highlighting a deck that your interested in play your ability to comprehend what they are doing is very important. By paying attention and listening you will be able to pick up the tiny nuances of said deck. Where if you were just there half ass listening you might miss some key features of the deck that really make it stand apart. Now I know everyone learns differently. So do you feel like it is important that they do in fact comprehend and absorb what they are hearing, watching, reading, or hands on learning? If they are half hearted paying attention how will they ever grow as a player. Do you think the allure of giveaways have created this issue. Where people watching the stream do not care what they can learn but rather just are there to win something.
Now we delve into the realm of following directions. Is that an important skill set in a TCG like Gods Unchained? I do believe so. I have seen it first hand watching a stream of a tournament where somebody did not listen and comprehend the rules of the tournament so they were disqualified. They rules may have stated that you must only have one copy of each card in your deck. But due to them not taking the time to read and follow the rules they lost their chance at winning said tournament. That goes with giveaways as well. I can not tell you how many times I have been in a stream where a giveaway starts and everyone starts spamming !Raffle. And the funny part is the streamer may have made the method of entry !rafflemedaddy instead. If the viewers would have took a minute and listened they would have heard the streamer say the correct entry method. Or they could have read the proper entry method from the giveaway bot.
The final one I will bring up I know @copperpitch and many many other content creators in the Gods Unchained community will understand. It is when people do not bother checking pins or just googling the answer of wen packs, wen weekend ranked rewards. Now sometimes these answers are harder to find Like when an airdrop snapshot has taken place. And those instances I am okay with as it is not an event that happens week in and week out. But I feel like this little section falls in nicely to my whole question. If they had paid attention or listened unless it is their very first day in game they would know where to find that information.
As always thank you for taking the time to check out this post. As I know we all live extremely busy lives. I truly hope to hear some thoughts in the comments below and strike up another string of conversations. I would also like to thank @flauwy for the lovely OneUp divider along with the creation of the OneUp and Cartel token. I used canva.com. To make the thumbnail. The Gods Unchained Custom Card maker to make the card of my puppy. And the image of the Gods Unchained cards came from Nicepng.
