Introduction

What's up everyone? It's been a long time since I've posted, so I figured I would start doing Weekend Ranked recaps. This recap is for the Weekend Ranked event that ran between April 29 - May 1.

Decklist

I ran an aggro light deck that you can check out here. An important note regarding this list is that I ran this prior to the first balance patch. Therefore, Roadside Checkpoint and Vexing Vicar are no longer the same. Roadside Checkpoint's empower now costs 5 mana, making it a 7 mana card, and Vexing Vicar lost front line.

The strategy for this deck is the same any other aggro light deck: go wide and buff. This deck does this exceptionally well with plenty of 1 drops and the Thaeric Extortionist to win board presence. This deck also runs plenty of board-wide buffs, such 2x Radiant Dawn, 2x Prayer of the Desperate, 1x Roadside Checkpint, and Asterius. Additionally, there are lots of individual buff cards, such as Felid Janissary, Intimidating Uplifter, Militant Theist, Humble Benefactor, and Canonize. Ultimately, this deck allows for plenty of value trades to allow you to gain and keep the board.

Conclusion

All in all, I was very very pleased with 17 wins. That earned me 1x Core Rare, Epic, Legendary and 1x Mortal Judgement Rare, Epic, and Legendary packs. Good luck to everyone who wants to try a similar deck and feel free to leave comments on how this deck can be improved!
