Greetings everyone, and welcome back to another post of testing out different famous playstyles for every god.
After trying out 2 playstyles for the god of magic that I mentioned in my previous posts, it is now time to try out the weird, unheard of Aether Damage Playstyle.
Now I saw a lot of people recently playing an Aether Deck that is all about having a lot of favor combined with the synergy and combo you get from Aethers that you have in hand you get to control the board. Now I am planning on trying this one out later on, however, my deck is a little bit different from that.
It is more basic, still requires the combos from the Aether of course but more about the damage you get from the spells to help your creatures. So without further ado, let's jump into the deck and see the results.
The deck
So as we can notice, this deck consist of several Aethers that work together in sync, along with several damage spells that will help you get rid of strong or annoying creatures and help you take over the board.
I tried to make the deck as effective as possible with the cards I own or had to buy some of them, in a way you still get the combo from the Dimension Looper and the Planetar Sage for example, along with the indirect revive that you get from Rebirth Planetar
Since nowadays I am facing a lot of slow paced deck, I am reaching late game a lot of times which helped showcase the strength of some of the cards I am and helped the deck shine! Although the results were not excellent, there is always still room for improvement with some cards I have in mind.

The deck struggled a bit against war since I face several Aggro decks, and also against Magic because it was easy for them to remove my creatures at first and they had the upper hand later on, but I did pretty well against other gods I would say!
The Shaped Blast helped a lot against Zombie deck and allowed me to clear in this game I had! As well as against deception wish let me clear hidden creatures!
Key Card for this Deck
Dimension Looper
Since most likely you will have an Aether in hand, the 3 damage you get from this card and 3/4 for 4 mana is valuable! It is almost like a Carthagian Marine but with better stats and damage!
Planetar Sage
A 4/5 creature for 4 mana and the 9 favor you get from him is so good. Especially with several blessed and favor related cards, this can help you control the sanctum and use it to your favor which can be huge!
Rebirth Planetar
This card is good since any Aether you will get will have some kind of value, the worst case scenario is getting back the Planetar Acolyte which most likely won't be much of a help in late game. However, still it is a 6/7 strong creature at the same time!
Planetar Centaurion
Delving is one of the most important terms in this games. Sometimes better than bringing back from the void. So this card can change the aspect of the game on top of being a 7/7 frontline! Delving can give you a card that might help you a lot on spot!
Cards I would add If I had them
Miraculous Familiar
This is another great Aether that can be added to this deck. It can generate spells that can help along during the game especially since I have several spells in my hand in this deck and not mostly creatures!
Amplureal,Sentient Shard
This card is good to add especially with the effect that keeps bringing it back to your deck which will ensure that you will always have an Aether around and ensure you get maximum efficiency from your effects!
General Changes I would make
After trying out this deck for the 17 matches, I realized I could have done some changes even with the cards I have which are:
Take out Sip of Elixir
I figured out Ramping is not the objective of this deck. Although it can help a little bit reaching 6 7 mana before the opponent where I do have some strong creatures, It would be much better to add another Aether creature that would make effect on the game and the deck. Preferably one of the 2 creatures mentioned above!
Remove Inferno
With the many early game damage spells, the effects you get from your creatures, the favor you get which will make you control the sanctum and the different creatures that you have, I noticed it will be hard for the opponent to have the board flooded at 7 mana.
Especially with the Shaped Blast present it will make it almost impossible. So switching it with maybe a frontline like Guild Enforcer to give a bit more chance to get to late game and more clearance would be the right move to do!
So adding the creatures I mentioned before and making those 2 changes I think this deck would have performed a little bit better in my opinion!
Conclusion
Although this deck was not anything like the Aether deck I have been seeing recently, I was a damn weird deck to me and I enjoyed playing it so much. The win rate was not that insane but also It performed a bit better than I expected especially being not so meta at the moment.
But figured with the different changes I mentioned, I would have myself a go to deck when I want to switch from the classic nature/magic decks I try hard with and still get some wins and tons of fun at the same time!
I also will most certainly be trying the other Aether deck I have been seeing because it is different that this even with having the same tribe and I will see how I do with it and post the deck and the results as well!
