I often have this problem of earwax accumulation. This can be very irritating, causing ear congestion, pain, and even decreased hearing. Although essential in keeping our ears healthy, excessive wax is a major issue. I tried some methods to melt out the wax faster and I would like to tell you which one worked for me.

One of them was warm water irrigation. It is easy and it just works! What I did was that I utilized a soft bulb syringe to gently splash warmed water into my ear. Initially, it felt rather odd but helped loosen the wax. The secret is to be careful when doing it in order not to push the water inside abruptly. After trying several times, I noticed that the wax began coming off more easily. Thus, after doing this, it is essential to keep your ear dry so as not to worsen the wax problem.
Another way that works is using ear wax softening drops. There are several choices, but oil was my favorite because it’s natural. Olive oil worked well for me when I used it to soften the hard wax. Over a few days of one or two drops each night, there was an immediate difference. Hydrogen peroxide is yet another alternative that operates even more quickly. It effervesces on contact with the wax and dissolves it. This one though was very effective but also called for caution.
When these methods were not fast enough, I thought about micro-suctioning. This is done by professionals who use a small hoover to suck out the wax. I did this at an ENT doctor and it was very quick and painless. This is perfect for those who cannot use drops or those in need of instant relief.
There was also the matter of exploring some ear wax removal kits. The Bebird Note5 Pro Ear Camera Wax Removal Tool seemed interesting as it had a camera through which you could see what was in your ears. This helped me to know how much there was and where it was located. I cleared my wax using the camera with care, using the attachments that came with it. It made me feel like I had more control over it and would not harm myself.
Lastly, I also tried out an ear irrigation system. This device uses warm water to flush out the wax. Having a small tray prevented messes during this process unlike when done manually. Drops were first used for softening the wax then used the irrigation system which worked very well.
Working on earwax build-up doesn’t have to make you annoyed or resentful. All one needs is patience and finding out what suits his/her ears best while handling them gently enough.
