April is the second month that I celebrate my tiny accomplishments in layer two tokens built on Hive. Last month, I included a total of 13 tokens in my report. This time, I just want to focus on four of them plus another one that I consider a “Dark Horse.”
My strategy is to focus on one token at a time. The immediate goal is to reach $200.00 per token. Once that goal is achieved, that is time to shift to another one. After completing at least 5 tokens with $200.00 capital each, I am thinking of comparing their monthly yield, and whichever gives the highest yield, that’s the token I am going to add more. The long-term goal is to utilize the yields from these tokens to grow my HIVE power (HP).
I think such an approach is consistent with the idea of micro-investing in layer two tokens contributing to the concept of Hive as a compounding machine.
Unexpected Development
Prior to my decision to focus on what I call my “First Five,” I mentioned in my post thirteen days ago that after exploring the layer two tokens in my watch list the first week of February, I observe that those whom I consider as an authority on this space, share something in common when it comes to token accumulation. I found out that LEO is the top priority on their list followed by WAIV, BEE, BRO, CTP, and SPT. It is comforting to know that I hold three of these tokens that they also hold.
What surprises me while writing this article is that the tokens that were at the bottom last month are now in the 2nd and 4th places. Moreover, the token that I ignored during its early months of existence is now my number one!

Analysis
HIVE is excluded from my “First Five” since it’s the layer 1 token where all the succeeding tokens are based. LISTNERDS is my “Dark Horse” for I took it for granted during its first few months because I didn't understand how it works. I only got on board the 2nd week of March. Grateful to @bradleyarrow for bringing this amazing platform to my attention the nth time.
Both CENT and CTP are at the bottom last month. Now, they occupy the 2nd and 4th positions. As for CENT, my previous holdings were just $2.72. The jump to $73.27 is equivalent to a 2,593 % increase!
As for CTP, my current stake includes the tokens both on ListNerds and ctptalk.com. The growth from 446 to 1,748.184 in terms of percentage increase is equivalent to 291%.
The appearance of LISTNERDS in my portfolio is the most surprising of all not only because it became number one on my list, but also because I only invested $50.00 worth of LISTNERDS in just less than a month. That’s only 25 LISTNERDS and how come I have 98.014 LISTNERDS on my account?
35 of that came from Random Rewards and the other 34.507 came from email verification rewards. And so, the return on my $50.00 worth of micro-investment is already at 386% in less than a month. If this kind of development will continue, I have no idea where will it go in the coming months.
In closing, I am glad to stumble upon a confirmation about the importance of layer two tokens. I heard it from someone who has been on this amazing blockchain during its earlier years. This gives us the benefit of a long-term perspective. In the concluding paragraph of his article, Hive Just Keeps Delivering, @cryptoandcoffee wrote:
