I'm a man who admires suggestions. Whether you're a foe or friend, a fool or a pundit, the chances are that I'll take your advice and run with it.
However, when I say suggestions, I'm actually talking about the simpler things life has to offer: movies, songs, books, perfumes, you name it. When it comes to the more important aspects and the things that require critical thinking and time, I maneuver away and sometimes fully disregard suggestions; solely relying on myself, my thoughts, and my strategies.
Leaving my life's most important decisions in other people's hands was never a bright idea. But, I didn't have much of a choice back then; I do now though. So, in order to steer away from other people's impetuous advice, I keep my ears shut and rely on self-suggestions.
Because even if I fail, this time I'll have no one to blame but myself.
The little perfume you see here, this thing and I go way back.
A Romanian friend of mine suggested I get this thing, back in 2017/2018. His name is Sebestyen, and we're still connected on Facebook. Back in 2017, we met through a measly mobile game called Injustice 2. Along with 30 to 40 other members, from all around the globe; we had a "little" team of ours.
Since then I've been on the prowl for this glass bottle full of aromatic mystery. And now, after over half a decade, I finally got my hands on this thing.
How?
Fortunately, I somehow stumbled upon a partial piece on the Facebook marketplace, lucky me!
From holding a screenshot of this thing on my phone for over 5 years to finally having it in my hand, the wait was long, really long. Yet, here we are1
Was the wait worth it? Kind of. Even though the fragrance smells okay, the performance is really poor.
However, what more can I expect from a perfume that costs only $30 USD?
Perfumes and I have over a 2-decade-long relationship; I'm no collector or scent freak though, but I do appreciate a good, long-lasting, and classic fragrance. Most of the new designer or niche fragrances rarely impress me. I lean more towards the classic and affordable over-the-counter options; Old Spice, CK, Jovan, Coty, and Davidoff Cool Water for example.
Maybe I just haven't found the one yet?
I was really betting on this fragrance right here, Ajmal Carbon. Alas, this doesn't even qualify for the top 5. Yet, it will always hold a special place in my own domain of fragrances; it won't secure a spot in my heart, but it will definitely forever be on my mind and memory.
