What a name for a razor... Harry! Harry gets you un-hairy. Now if this product has the same level of engineering genius as the genius behind naming the product, this razor is gonna be awesome. I admit, I never shave, okay maybe twice a year I actually grab a razor and get all baby-faced. Well as Baby-faced as I can get anyway. I’m about speed, grab the hair clippers, #2 for the goatee and head and no guard for the rest and I’m shined up in no time!! Well I do have Mama-Splatts trim up that neck line, that’s something I can’t quite do by myself... yet
With my wife and my anniversary not too far away I figure I had better get my face used to a razor. Also need to see if I still know how to do this shaving thing. So I was off to the store to get more blades for whatever brand of razor I have and how ever many blades it has. All I know is that thing gets clogged up so bad so fast and it is a pain to clean out. You have to run your thumb down on the blades to get the hair out of it. Maybe if I shaved more frequently that wouldn’t happen?? 🤔 Anyway I am at the store in the isle with a confusing amount of razors and blades in front of me. I honestly don’t remember which one I have so I’m going with a whole new setup. If someone said that packaging doesn’t help an item sell, they are dead wrong. This one caught my eye right away.

A Harry’s razor ended up in the cart without hesitation. At $16 for the razor and 2 blades, I figured that wasn’t too bad at all. While I was there is figured I would stock up on these German Engineered blades also. A 12 pack of blade cartridges ran me $20. I remember when the Mach 3 blades were treated like gold or something. Placed inside a security box back behind the counter, and man-o-man were they spendy.

The razor itself feels really nice with that silicone like handle. It almost feels slick but has some grip to it. Kind of weird. I chose the orange... probably because the that dang box. Plus it’s bright so I shouldn’t lose it. I went with the 5 blade design rather than the 37 blade design. I figured it would be less likely to get clogged.
I don’t use shaving cream or gel, just a good lather from a bar of soap. Plus it gets my face nice and clean. Also by the time I got halfway through the bottle of shaving cream or gel it would probably go bad. Twice a year shaving and on a rare occasion 3 times a year. Just like showering... wait... 🤔🤔
My facial hair is pretty long especially under the chin. Hell, maybe I should trim up that goatee after I get done with this... Those 5 blades clogged up fast but were easily flushed clean with water. No more using my thumb to clean the blades. YES! Granted they are brand new blades but they sure did the job. Even going against the grain they slid smoothly across my skin and I felt no pulling of the hairs what so ever. It maybe took me 5-7 minutes to make half of my face presentable for Mama-Splatts 😉 That is lathering up with soap, shaving, and rinsing off in the sink.

Daaaang! That goatees looks like a dang squirrel tail after getting struck by lightning! Funny thing is, I sat there and talked to my daughter for a bit with the half shaven face and she did say anything. Normally she notices stuff like that. Mama-Splatts gave me the eye-roll-head-shake. I take that as she likes it.
Just push up on each side of the collar and it comes shooting right off of there. Time will tell with this for sure. I hope it doesn’t turn out like the others and just fall off at random times.
Ya it’s a brand new razor but it cleaned up my face in a hurry. The handle provided good grip even when wet. I know others that I have used when they got wet they would tend to get really slick. Even with a little soap on the handle of the Harry Razor, it wasn’t as bad as the others. Maybe I should have waited until Mama-Splatts shaved her legs with it, that way I can get her opinion on it too. I guess the real test is the longevity of those German Blades. Dang it, that means I am gonna need to shave more often!! Why did I do this again??
