Buen día amigos de #hive y #sketchbook, espero estén teniendo una gran semana, el dia de hoy les comparto este dibujo de un guácharo, un ave que habita en sudamérica, y por ella uno de los monumentos naturales de mi estado lleva como nombre "la cueva del guácharo", por la cantidad de guácharos que habitan en ella. Este dibujo lo realicé para la tarea escolar del hijo de mi vecina, la cual me pidió el favor de realizarlo en una hoja blanca a color, siendo esta una tarea que entregaron el día martes 5 de abril.
Good morning friends of #hive and #sketchbook, I hope you are having a great week, today I share with you this drawing of a guácharo, a bird that lives in South America, and because of it one of the natural monuments of my state is called "the guácharo cave", because of the amount of guácharos that live in it. I made this drawing for the school homework of my neighbor's son, who asked me the favor of making it on a white sheet of colored paper, being this a task that was delivered on Tuesday, April 5.
Esta ave peculiar por sus puntos blancos en las plumas son aves nocturnas, a los cuales tuve la oportunidad de ver en un viaje que hice a la cueva del guácharo en un plan vacacional cuando era niño, estas aves se encontraban dentro de la cueva y uno de los recreadores encontró a un pichon mal herido. Sin duda fue una gran experiencia tanto por ver las aves como por visitar la cueva en ese parque turístico, sin duda una gran experiencia y un día extraordinario.
This bird is peculiar for its white spots on its feathers, they are nocturnal birds, which I had the opportunity to see on a trip I made to the Cueva del Guácharo on a vacation plan when I was a child, these birds were inside the cave and one of the recreators found a badly wounded pigeon. It was certainly a great experience both to see the birds and to visit the cave in that tourist park, certainly a great experience and an extraordinary day.

- Realicé la base del dibujo con el lápiz hb, haciendo la silueta del ave.
I made the base of the drawing with the hb pencil, making the silhouette of the bird.
- Definí el dibujo, dando formas a las plumas, alas, picos, patas y tronco.
I defined the drawing, giving shapes to the feathers, wings, beaks, legs and trunk.
- Con el lapicero delinee con cuidado todo el dibujo, después borre las líneas hechas a lápiz.
With the pencil I carefully outlined the whole drawing, then erased the pencil lines.
- Apliqué una base clara de colores en todo el dibujo y después empecé a detallar las plumas de la cabeza y torso.
I applied a clear base of colors on the whole drawing and then I started to detail the feathers of the head and torso.
- Terminé de colorear las alas y colas del guácharo usando tonos más oscuros.
I finished coloring the wings and tails of the guacharo using darker tones.
- Coloree el tronco y las hojas que dan inicio a este, también los ojos, pico y las patas del Guácharo.
I colored the trunk and the leaves that start the trunk, as well as the eyes, beak and legs of the Guácharo.
- Realicé un fondo con colores verdes, anaranjado y amarillo, para darle un aspecto mas natural al dibujo.
I made a background with green, orange and yellow colors, to give a more natural aspect to the drawing.
Este dibujo lo realicé en aproximadamente 4 horas, ya que fue una petición con tiempo muy limitado, pero de igual forma me gustó el resultado, a pesar de su sencillo diseño y detallado; adoro dibujar aves, y este dibujo me ha hecho pensar en realizar un ave más detallada, de esas en las que me doy mi tiempo y dedicación.
I made this drawing in approximately 4 hours, since it was a request with very limited time, but I liked the result anyway, in spite of its simple design and detail; I love drawing birds, and this drawing has made me think about making a more detailed bird, one of those in which I give myself my time and dedication.
