Flowers

Feliz fin de semana! Hoy quiero compartir mi ultimo dibujo al cual titule “Flowers” la verdad es que me encantan las flores pero casi nunca las dibujo, siento que es más fácil pintar flores en manera tradicional usando pinturas que en una tableta gráfica, pero realmente me gustaría implementar mas flores en mis dibujos, sobre todo en los retratos. Me anime anoche a realizar un boceto y lo pinte toda la madrugada, lo termine durante el dia luego de descansar, fue bastante complicado a pesar de ser unas flores pequeñas, siento que aun me falta mejorar los volúmenes para que se vea un poco mas plano los pétalos, pero en definitiva me ha gustado mucho el intento, para este retrato quise hacer muchos detalles y algo que me enamoro muchísimo fue como logre la claridad de los ojos y la luz que refleja, también quise usar una paleta de colores vino mezclado con azul una combinación que no me convencía mucho pero que me ha encantado, espero que les guste.

Today I want to share my last drawing which I titled "Flowers" the truth is that I love flowers but I almost never draw them, I feel that it is easier to paint flowers in a traditional way using paints than on a graphic tablet, but I would really like to implement more flowers in my drawings, especially in portraits.
I decided last night to make a sketch and I painted it all morning, I finished it during the day after resting, it was quite complicated despite being small flowers, I feel that I still need to improve the volumes to make the petals look a little flatter, but I really liked the attempt, for this portrait I wanted to make a lot of details and something that I loved a lot was how I achieved the clarity of the eyes and the light that reflects, I also wanted to use a palette of wine colors mixed with blue a combination that did not convince me much but I loved, I hope you like it.

Proceso/Process

Realice mi boceto esta vez quise un retrato bastante cerca donde pudiese resaltar mucho mejor el rostro, comencé a pintar la piel usando colores algo oscuros rellenando cada parte con sombras y luces, en una nueva capa añadí muchos más tonos dándole más forma y claridad a los rasgos, difumine estos tonos usando un pincel con textura y una alta opacidad.

I made my sketch this time I wanted a close up portrait where I could highlight much better the face, I started to paint the skin using dark colors filling each part with shadows and lights, in a new layer I added many more tones giving more shape and clarity to the features, I blurred these tones using a textured brush and a high opacity.

Me encanto el color que había elegido para los labios así que decidí pintar el cabello con un color base igual a ese tono, agregue algunas luces y sombras para darle mas realismo al cabello, la ropa quise que fuese simple ya que no era tan importante para este retrato, solamente aplique un color negro, agregue una sombra en el rostro que le daría mas realismo a las flores, se me ocurrió pintar un delineado fucsia en el ojo, simplemente fue una idea que vino a mi mente de la nada y quise hacerlo, use un tono lila de base para las flores y luego cree una capa con mascara de recorte y empecé a rellenar con los tonos de la flor, después difumine los colores y aplique estos tonos con mucha textura, al principio las flores eran lila como el color de base que puse pero no me convencía ese color ahí, entonces le hice un ajuste de color a las flores haciéndolas ver de un tono mas cálido.

I loved the color I had chosen for the lips so I decided to paint the hair with a base color equal to that tone, I added some lights and shadows to give more realism to the hair, the clothes I wanted to be simple since it was not so important for this portrait, I only applied a black color, I added a shadow on the face that would give more realism to the flowers, I thought of painting a fuchsia eyeliner on the eye, it was just an idea that came to my mind and I wanted to do it, I used a lilac base color for the flowers and then I created a layer with clipping mask and started to fill with the tones of the flower, then I blurred the colors and applied these tones with a lot of texture, at first the flowers were lilac like the base color that I put but I was not convinced with that color there, so I made a color adjustment to the flowers making them look warmer.

Para este punto decidí agregar unos accesorios que no estaban en el boceto así que experimentando con círculos y líneas hice estos aretes, agregue una capa de brillo donde comencé a iluminar algunas partes del rostro, para el fondo quería un color sólido, la verdad no tenia idea de que color usar hasta que coloque este azul pálido y em encanto como resaltaba el tono del cabello con el fondo azul, luego utilice un brush de flores vintage y puse un color blanco con baja opacidad y asi cree este patrón floral de fondo, finalmente aplique un ajuste a la imagen agregando un poco mas de oscuridad y resaltando aun mas los brillos del rostro.

For this point I decided to add some accessories that were not in the sketch so experimenting with circles and lines I made these earrings, I added a layer of glitter where I started to illuminate some parts of the face, for the background I wanted a solid color, I really had no idea what color to use until I placed this pale blue and I loved how it highlighted the tone of the hair with the blue background, then I used a vintage flower brush and put a white color with low opacity and created this floral pattern in the background, finally I applied an adjustment to the image adding a little more darkness and highlighting even more the shiny parts of the face.
