Two of the world's most famous goddesses, the Greek deity Aphrodite is the famed female patron of sexuality and beauty. At the same time, Goddess Athena is the patron of war, wisdom, and the namesake of the influential center of learning, the city of Athens. While the reputation of Aphrodite's attractiveness is renowned throughout the world, Athena is celebrated for her shrewd, calculated, and powerful nature that challenges sexist norms. These two goddesses also have a competitive past; in the story of the "Judgement of Paris," they are pitted against each other, alongside the Goddess Hera, in a beauty contest. Aphrodite wins by briding Prince Paris with the most beautiful woman in the world, Helen of Troy. This sets the stage for the Trojan War after Paris goes to claim his prize, with Goddess Athena even spitefully joining the Greeks to fight against Paris's Trojans after he snubbed her. However, here the goddesses have set aside their differences, choosing to bask in the mutual appreciation of each other's beauty and charm instead of fighting for the approval of a petty mortal man.
