For digitally illustrating a sky all u need is some inspiration you can look up sky gradients you will notice some pink peach blue hues when the sun is setting , more turquoise blue shades when its morning . Im making a dark night sky so i selected some dark shades off blue royal blue and aqua blue . These will help me in making the sky gradient .
I selected the gradient tool in Medibang pro app set it to a transparent gradient and added the darkest shade on top and lighest at the bottom and our gradient sky is ready
What i did next was i zoomed the sky gradient i made and. Started putting random white dots with a 2 pixel pencil brush and 1 pixel dots too filled the whole sky and zoomed out .This made the sky look glittery and shimmery.
Whats a Night sky without a moon? So for that i made a white circle in middle off my sky . But as you can see moon glows and the circle just looks plain . So what we can do is duplicate this layer gaussian blue it set the layer blending mode to add and keep that layer under the plain white circle .This gives it a very glowy effect .
We all know moon isn't just glowy it also has these textures and shadows .For the shading we clipped some layers on top of the moon i added alot of gray shadows with airbrush set it to a low opacity so we can just barely see it . Next layer i clipped i made small swiggly circles kept them at 50% opacity third layer i just shaded the area around these circles and kept the opacity to 30%. This will make the Moon crates look a bit real .
If we are making sky clouds should be there too we can't leave them behind 😂. So i used this Cloud 2 brush which isn't mandatory You can make could from any brush they just have to be fluffy. However i love this brush i use it to make smoke and clouds . I made some bluish gray clouds and same as the moons glow i thought if the moon is behind them the clouds should be having some light behind them too for that i duplicated them set layer to add and the glow was added ♥️
