What's up people, how are you, welcome to a new post, for a while now I wanted to do a simple illustration but using a slightly more interesting resource, in this case the armor shaped ornaments, I think I will be using this type of "clothing" to get more interesting and mystical works in some of my future illustrations.

Que pasa gente, como están? sean bienvenidos a un nuevo post, desde hace un tiempo quería hacer una ilustración sencilla pero utilizando un recurso ligeramente mas interesante, en este caso los ornamentos en forma de armadura, creo que estaré utilizando este tipo de "vestimenta" para conseguir trabajos mas interesantes y místicos en algunas de mis futuras ilustraciones.

I used a bed of fairly opaque colors but with a pastel style, during the painting process I was blurring several times, removing and retouching various colors to get the look I wanted, possibly the most challenging thing in this illustration was that I decided to merge all the layers, including the lineart to the main painting layer to work directly on it, just to test if this way I got a look as close as possible to a painting done in oil.

Utilice una cama de colores bastante opacos pero con un estilo pastel, durante el proceso de pintado estuve difuminando varias veces, quitando y retocando varios colores para conseguir el aspecto que deseaba, posiblemente lo mas desafiante en esta ilustración fue que decidí unir todas las capas, incluyendo el lineart a la capa principal de pintado para trabajar directamente en ella, solo para probar si de esta manera conseguía un aspecto lo mas cercano parecido a una pintura echa en oleo.

My favorite part was to try different ways to place the colors on the hair, some quite soft to achieve a good blur, some very thin strokes to resemble small strands of hair free all over the canvas to give a more natural look, surely one of the most striking parts are the ornaments and the golden tears on the face.

Mi parte favorita fue ir probando diferentes formas de colocar los colores en el cabello, algunos bastante suaves para logra un buen difuminado, algunos trazos muy finos para asemejar pequeños mechones de cabello libres por todo el lienzo para dar un aspecto mas natural, seguramente una de las partes mas llamativas sean los ornamentos y las lagrimas doradas en la cara.

When I was about to finish, a very special person suggested me to work more on the hair, so I decided to move the illustration to Krita to enjoy the high quality brushes offered by the program, although sai is one of the best programs that exist for illustrators at least for basic things, because on the issue of textures and brush effects is miles behind Krita, Photoshop even CSP.

Cuando ya estaba por terminar, cierta personita muy especial para mi me sugirió que trabajara mas el cabello, así que decidí pasar la ilustración a Krita para poder gozar de los pinceles de alta calidad que ofrece el programa, si bien sai es uno de los mejores programas que existen para ilustradores al menos para cosas básicas, porque en el tema de las texturas y efectos pinceles se queda kilometros detras de Krita, Photoshop incluso CSP.
