Greetings to all Hiver friends, How are you doing? This is my latest painting entitled "Calming Lake Scene" painted with acrylic paint.
In this post, I am going to demonstrate how to paint beautiful natural scenery.
I used four different painting brushes and eight colors of acrylic paint. It took me one hour and thirty minutes to finish this painting because there are too many details in this piece.
Materials Needed:
š Acrylic paper pad
š Pencil and eraser
š Ruler
š Clean Water
š Rag
š Paper napkin
Brushes:
š Flat Brush /small #10, 10/32 / 8.0mm
š Liner Brush #2 / 2/32" / 1.6mm
š Filbert brush
š Round brush
Acrylic Paint:
š Titanium white
š Ultramarine blue
š Mars black
š Grass green
š Green mid
š Lemon yellow
š Yellow ochre
š Burnt sienna
Painting Procedure:
Background /Sky:
First, I make an Outline of my painting reference. Then, I start working with the background. The colors are titanium white, and ultramarine blue. I created a gorgeous formation of clouds in the background.
Brush: Flat brush and round brush
Middle Ground:
Distant trees and bushes: Green mid, yellow ochre, lemon yellow, and white
Blue and white.
Brush: Filbert brush
Foreground:
Closer tree leaves: Grass green, Green mid, and black
Highlights of lemon yellow, yellow ochre, and white.
Brush: Filbert brush
Trunks: Burnt sienna and white
Brush: Round brush and liner brush
Lake: White and blue
Brush: Flat brush
Boat: Black, burnt sienna, and white
I Put water reflections to stand out the painting.
Liner brush/extra details: tree limbs, grass, water lines, and water ripples
