Hey, here is the throwback to my black and white still life pencil sketching practice back in 2020. π°οΈ This journey was all about honing my skills in pencil work, focusing on various elements and objects to capture the essence of their tones, shapes, and textures.

The main focus was on mastering the art of tone and shape. π The challenge lay in representing the subtle gradients and contours to bring the apple to life on paper.
Thumbnail Magic:
Learning the art of cropping and positioning - creating dynamic thumbnails to lay the foundation for a well-balanced composition. Thumbnail sketches played a crucial role in the creative process.
Aluminium Kettle Reflections:
Trying to representation of reflections on the surface of an aluminium kettle, capturing the play of light and shadow from surrounding objects.
Cloth Folds:

Glass & Bottle Transparency:
Delving into the transparent and glassy world, the focus shifted to a wine glass and bottle. Rendering these objects was all about capturing their unique, translucent qualities.
Combo Challenge:
Combining all the previous elements, pushing my skills to represent multiple objects within a limited timeframe. The rush added an exciting challenge to the mix.
Camera Angle Experiment:
Trying out different camera angles to find the perfect perspective for sketching. Sometimes, a fresh viewpoint can make all the difference in bringing a scene to life.
Cloth - Line Sketching:
A revisit to cloth, this time emphasizing the importance of line sketching strokes. This added a new dimension to the overall sketch, focusing on the finer details.
