Hi besties! Bienvenidos a mi primer post en esta hermosa comunidad. Hoy les traigo una pieza en la que estuve trabajando el día de ayer y que sería el primer dibujo del nuevo oc que estoy diseñando, hasta ahora solo he tenido un oc formalmente así que estoy muy emocionada de iniciar este nuevo proceso y aún más emocionada de poder compartirlo con ustedes

Hi besties! Welcome to my first post in this beautiful community. Today I want to show you a piece that I was working on yesterday and that would be the first drawing of my new oc, so far I have had only one formal oc so I am very excited to start this new designing process and even more excited to to be able to share it with you.
So let's begin!
PROCESO / PROCESS
Primero comencé haciendo algunos sketches rápidos a mano haciendo uso de lápiz para las líneas de construcción y luego resaltando el lineart con un rapidograph.
I first started by doing some quick sketches on paper using a pencil for the construction lines and then defining the lineart with rapidograph.
Una vez que el sketch me convenció y tuve un concepto más claro pasé a digitalizarlo y a escoger una paleta de colores tentativa, actualmente estoy experimentando con el uso de colores opuestos complementarios así que fui por el rojo y el azul como tonos principales.
Once the sketch convinced me and I had a clearer concept I went on to digitize it and pick my basic color palette, I am currently experimenting with using complementary opposite colors so I went with red and blue as the main tones.
Apliqué un tono de piel base para comenzar a pintar luego de algunas pruebas de sombra con los círculos a la izquierda.
I applied a base skin tone to start painting after some shadow tests with the circles on the left.
Una vez terminado el tono base comencé a aplicar las sombras con tonos rojos para la transición intercalando pinceles suaves y duros y tonos azules saturados para las áreas más oscuras.
Once the base tone was finished I began to apply the shadows with red tones for the transition, interspersing soft and hard brushes and saturated blue tones for the darker areas.
Cuando estuve conforme con la composición de la piel ajusté la intensidad de los colores para continuar con el siguiente elemento.
When I was satisfied with the composition of the skin, I adjusted the colors intensity before I could continue with the next element.
Continué escogiendo un azul oscuro para el cabello para evitar usar el color negro y agregué algunos puntos de luz con pequeñas líneas de rojo haciendo uso de un lápiz suave.
Continued to choose dark blue for the hair to avoid using black and added some highlights with small lines of red using a soft pencil.
El siguiente paso fue la ropa, eligiendo un azul para la base de la prenda exterior y aplicando un patrón incluido en el programa de dibujo y un rojo menos intenso en la prenda interior.
The next step were the clothes, choosing a blue base for the outer layer and applying a pattern included in the drawing app and a less intense red on the inner layer.
Una vez terminada la ropa y luego de agregarle algunos detalles pasé a renderizar para darle más volumen y carácter.
Once the clothes were finished and after adding some details, I went on to render to give it more volume and character.
Y finalmente ¡he aquí los resultados!
And finally here are the results!
Del lado izquierdo les muestro el resultado final original y a la derecha las piezas con algunos ajustes de color que me parecieron interesantes, aunque aún no puedo decidir cuál modelo luce mejor ¿Que opinan ustedes?
On the left side I show you the original final result and on the right side the pieces with a color adjustments that I found interesting, although I still can't decide which one looks better. What do you think?
