Hello everyone,
How are you all doing? I hope you all enjoyed the holideys as i did. I'm back again with another graphite drawing which appear to be a portrait drawing of an old man. One thing i can say is I'm less of writer but more of an artist. If you've seen my past works you would know how obsessed i am about drawing old people. The wrinkles on there faces were what i aimed at while drawing its been a while rough road so far.
I started this drawing with a 2B pencil which i made use of in making the rough sketch. Note the rough sketch has to be done faintly and could be easily erased. After the sketch i brought out my big gun which was my 10B Bianyo Pencil. I so much love the texture it gives on a paper so i went along with it and started to shade out the face.
I started from the left eye then the nose and the right eye, i alway made sure i started from the left hand side to the right hand side to avoid smudging. Making a pattern for yourself is really important. I went on and on till i got to the hair which was one of the most interesting parts. I used an indenting pen to draw out the hair before shading on it which brought out a perfectly formed white hair. This has been my secret weapon for a long time you should also try it out. And then i shaded underneath for the final touch and there you have it. I want to appreciate you for taking your time to read my post see you next time. Also feel free to leave a comment i would love to read and reply them all.
