Hello Everyone. I hope you're all having a wonderful day.
I made this drawing of a bearded man today with my white charcoal pencil and black paper today anf I'd like to share how I drew the portrait particularly the area of that involved drawing of his hair. I'm pretty new to this medium but I've been practicing so much to know the pros and cons of the white charcoal and black cardboard paper.
One important thing to note is the paying attention to details (which I'm still working on) because you want to make sure the drawing looks very appealing and detailed. I madevthis drawing to practice detailing in the hair and beard.
Here are the steps in the drawing
First, I drew the man's face, added his facial features and shaded his face with the white charcoal.
Next, I worked on his beard. Note the curly strokes of the pencil to achieve a realistic beard. Also note that the curls shouldn't all go in the same direction.
Finally, I drew the hair on his head. He had a Mohawk Haircut and I had to follow the pattern of flow of his hair.
Here are the final results of the drawing.
Thank you for reading and viewing my drawing. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
