Hello guys, How's everyone? It's me again Ish for another art entry and the 5th day of Inktober Challenge. I said on my recent blog at Day 4 | "Dodge" | Inktober2023 that I will do this Day 5 blog early today but it's already at 24 hours mark. My bad so yeah I need to do and catch up tonight on my entry for Day 6 and 7.
Anyway today's word or theme is "MAP"
Story of the Art
I think everyone dreamed of being a pirate and doing some treasure hunt when we were just a kid but honestly doing this art map I was thinking of the map of Lord of The Rings or should I call it "Maps of Middle-Earth" which made by Christoper Tolkien. I'm a big fan of LoTR I played some PC games of it and really love the story of LoTR and The Hobbit.
So yeah my map was inspired by LoTR Cartographic or Map.
Working Process
Again for this blog, we don't have the sections on which method or techniques I used first. This is just a set of WIPs photos.
So the first thing that I did was to cut a blank paper from my sketchpad.
And then I burned the corners and accumulated some candle soot on the paper to make it look like an old paper or ancient map.
then when I finished my map I pasted it or put it on my wall.
there's not much on editing I just put my watermark in the photo.
Materials and Tools I Used
• SketchBook
• Mechanical Pen
• Gel Pen / Marker Pen
• TouchFive Coloring Markers
• Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 edition.
Ending Message
Again anyone can join the yearly Inktober Challenge, you just need to use INK medium for every entry, and don't forget to use the tag #inktober and #inktober2023 when posting on different platforms.
Okay, I'm done now with Day 5 and publishing it right now, Day 6 is next, I need to rest for a while then I might do the sketching later at dawn.
so yeah I think that's it for the fifth day of Inktober2023, and see you tomorrow for the next one.
