Hello everyone, today I want to share with you a digital illustration I've been working on, as I'm used to practice a semi-realistic female portrait. What I enjoyed the most during the process was the elaboration of the character's hair and the combination of the color palette.

To bring this work to life, I relied on a visual reference I found on Pinterest. This image was the main thing to start materializing the idea I had in mind. Below, I share with you some images that show the progress of the illustration.

Hola a todos, el dia de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una ilustración digital que he estado trabajando, como estoy acostumbrado en practicar un retrato femenino al estilo semirrealista. Lo que más disfruté durante el proceso fue la elaboracion del cabello del personaje y la combinacion de la paleta de colores.

Para dar vida a esta obra, me basé en una referencia visual que encontré en Pinterest. Esta imagen fue lo principal para empezar el materializar la idea que tenía en mente. A continuación, les comparto algunas imágenes que muestran el progreso de la ilustración.

Process

Like any drawing I started the process with a sketch, in which I defined the proportions and established the base structure of the character through strokes. Then I proceeded with the color stage, carefully choosing a palette. With the selected tones, I began to apply the shadows to give depth and volume to the portrait.

Como todo dibujo inicie por el proceso con un boceto, en el que definí las proporciones y establecí la estructura base del personaje mediante trazos. Para despues seguir con la etapa del color, eligiendo cuidadosamente una paleta. Con los tonos seleccionados, empecé a aplicar las sombras para dar profundidad y volumen al retrato.
